Yea their way of recording that album has a lot of background noise that covers the little details in the guitar. Look at any cover of a song in shaped by fire. You will hear so much more. I went to learn “my own grave” and it’s wayyyy more complex than u would originally think by listening to it

The cleanest guitar player on RU-vid in my personal opinion. At least of the covers I’ve seen. And can we talk about Phil’s soloing chops? I can easily tell the difference between his solos and Nick’s. Nick has a bit more feel & insane bends but Phil’s style is more technical & suits AILD’s sound a bit more.
