In question number 6, you can use the equation v = u + at as you have all the values. If you input v as 15, u as 4, t as 7, you get the exact answer, 1.33.

for Q17 why do we use horizontal component instead of vertical

That's because 2.1 N is a horizontal force, it doesn't have a vertical component! So, you have to use the horizontal component. You could also draw the diagram in a different manner, where you extend the line backwards, and the angle 30 degrees is between the force and distance moved, it would make more sense then to take the cos component :)
