These old-growth grasslands took decades of Nature's wildlife cycle to form and when it's gone it's gone, these guys have great patient and passion, great job!
Our old-growth prairies are suffering here in southern Colorado. Drought, loss of habitat due to human encroachment, bugs aren't the normal group we used to have, tropical birds are here and the traditional birds are gone, cattle have overtaken the natural areas for pronghorn and deer, water is disappearing. Humans suck.
Please don’t slander the Native Americans that didn’t murder off all the passengers pigeons, Carolina Parakeets, Caribbean monk seals, and countless other species like the European settlers after they “explored” the New World.

Not only the carbon sequestration but the water holding capacity, food supply for migrating birds and monarchs, and nectar for insects such as the 3,600 species of bees which were native to NA
