You are asked to calculate phase difference for second dark fringe , it is better to write down 540 degrees . Phase difference for first dark fringe =180 degrees .

15:45 shouldn't the absolute value be 8.3 instead of 8.2 because we are rounding off to 1 decimal place

In order to round 8.245 up to 2 sf, we should check third number and if it is 5 or higher than 5 then it will round next number up by one otherwise no. In this case , as 4 is lower than 5 so 8.245 should be rounded to 8.2 . Hope it helps .

You can also think whether 0.245 is close to 0.200 or is it close to 0.300 . In this case , as it is close to 0.200 we should round 8.245 to 8.2 .
