Follow along on the peaceful adventures of small town New England life during July and August. It's the tail end of summer in the hills of southern New England as my friends and I take a trip in my 1971 VW van to the Rhode Island coast, work on the interior of my off-grid river-side cabin, harvest from our garden, go to the old time fair and notice all the small signs of autumn popping up.

I think that little brown bird is a Wren! Looks like a House Wren but could be a Carolina Wren, was tough to tell. They're very cute and fiercely protective parents :) I've seen them chase Blue Jays 5 times their size away from their nests.

Yes! that's what we found when we tried looking it up. It was seriously SO small it's hard to even explain.. like 1.5 inches tall haha! such a dedicated mother!

Oof…made me teary eyed when I saw Mitch took over your old office…and my heart was overfilled by the end. I sold my bigger house in the burbs this summer, and moved my son and dog w me to the woods…the small house in a forest I’ve known my whole life. It’s so much better- quiet, clean and the signs of change are here too in north eastern Pa. I’m filled w gratitude…🥰

I always have to watch more than once these video films... They do my heart ♥️good and always bring a, tear to my eye 😢reminding me of my youth which was always.jam packed with exciting things to do with friends especially through the summer months . I was born 1952 so 70 in September.2022 .. But that feeling of being young at heart ♥️I hope I never loose even though I'm loosing some loved ones now.... memories of best friends passed on I will treasure forever till l meet them again... The way you mixed in the music for this is INSANE!!!! IT'S LIKE A MOVIE I WATCH OVER AND OVER!!! I watch it when I miss summer, I watch it when I can't wait for summer to begin, during the summer and as summer ends! This is one of my ALL TIME FAVS!!! The county fair with the National Anthem in Small Town America Sung in the background....ahhhh it is my childhood...County Fairs and State Fairs were my summers in 4-H and what I still enjoy every decade of life. I so love the transition times between the seasons. At one point in your video you commented on the cotton candy skies and the peaceful quietness of the evening and I sighed inside. That is how I feel on late summer evenings as the season rolls into autumn. I live in Northern Texas and the seasonal transitions aren’t as pronounced as in your neck of the world, but I sense them and take them in all the same. I lived in Connecticut for a bit and was treated to all the seasonal beauty of the region and watching your videos brings back those same wonderful experiences I had enjoying the natural beauty of the forests and hills. You are truly a gifted storyteller and cinematographer and I thank you profusely for sharing your talents!
