Rooster is about the differences between men and women in the 60's. Men always being more dominant over women, yet the second wave of feminism slowly creeping in and allowing more women to become stronger and more independent. The dance shows how the female stands up to the man when he try's to belittle and control her (picking her up by her clothes) to which she defies him. However she gives in, and he carries her away like a doll or a puppet, indicating he is in control of her.
