I'm not gonna lie, I was 100% sceptical about ASA, but just seeing how much building has been improved is enough to get me to buy Ark again (I'm on PS5, so I had to wait but it's downloading as I type) but having mods on console is something that I never would have thought would be possible, especially the mods that are being shown. I can't wait to jump back in and start building and taming.

@@omarcano6195 yo I haven't played yet but I've been watching a few RU-vidrs playing and it's definitely worth getting just for the mods alone. The playthroughs I've been watching have all been vanilla, some stats were boosted but I still consider that vanilla and just the base game building seems to be better and I was already gonna get it before they announced mods on console. If this isn't enough I'll be playing later and give my actual experience but it seems well worth to just get it
@@jasondouglas9653 I've had Ark SE on my laptop which I never played 🤷🏻♂️, on my Xbox one and on my PS4. I love Ark and I honestly didn't think I was gonna get SA, but the mention of mods hooked me like a magnet lol
Ark Additions was a very fun mod on ASE and are very fun on ASA, you will enjoy them when they become available for consoles. Be warned, ceratosaurus is terrifying.
I think the death recovery is a massive crutch. Theres no consequences if you die. Defeats the purpose of having that fear of losing everything while exploring. But hell, its a pretty awesome mod at the same time
On my server i have it enabled but a different mod, this one lets me prevent items like all eggs, resources etc. so people can get their gear back but cant (for example) steal a wyvern egg then just purposely die and teleport everything to base. Once a mod for the death beam comes back ill disable it. Its so hard to find our bags in this game and the icon doesnt even lead exactly to it most of the time.
This looks amazing, can’t wait to get a PlayStation copy today! I have just one question though, is the host barrier still around or will it be removed? Since we’re on a new engine now, I hope the host barrier isn’t needed anymore, or at least is able to be removed through possible mods??
its still a thing and mods didnt fix it on ase wouldnt expect mods to fix it in asa better off playing on a server where its not an issue as far as i know its only when you play single player an have someone join you its been there 8 years it was increased and decreased but never removed so doubtful it will ever be gone
Unfortunately PC is always superior in my opinion. But happy to see consoles finally get to see the mods these amazing modders make. We have had the pleasure for 6+years.

@@AiYB welp i dont really know since i have play but i think you have to put the mouse and keyboard in the usb and select “Profile & System,” then “Settings,” then “Devices & Connections.”
@@AiYB also only a few games you can play with keyboard and mouse but i dont know all the games. ark survival evolved you can play with mouse and keyboard
how do i build the Catamaran please i got the mod on my nitrado server but cant find it in any smithy at all the better raft mod and the ferry boats one works but really want the 2 sail catamaran do i have to spawn it in if so whats the command please
I'm on series X and can not find a way to improve the wild creature details being shown. As is, I have to be in the exact right lighting condition and almost touching any creature to see its level, species etc. Anyone else having this issue?
The two boat mods make my character look ugly, hair isn't rendered (she's almost bald on top) and her ass became HUUUGE. No other mods installed and on PS5. That's unfortunate because I really waited for something like this. Posting it here to find more people with the same problem because the creator deactivated comments on curseforge it seems.
