Those who are closely following this contempt case from the very beginning , have noticed that the mood of IHC has been very aggressive. The case was proceeded at a lightening speed, the justice who took suo motto did not even wait for his CJ to resume office after holidays. As a matter of procedure and court rules, if a judge feels a contempt of court has happened, he writes to CJ and requests him to take a suo moto, if the CJ does not agree, the move dies down. But in this case the bench of three justice of IHC took suo moto on their own and without giving sufficient time to the defendant, framed the charge and issued a show cause notice to IK. The intention from the very beginning was mala fide. The entire media and some legal experts were insisting IK to submit an unconditional apology to the bench. Had he submitted the apology there were four repercussions: 1. IK admits to have committed the charge framed in the show cause notice, 2. he should submit an unconditional apology and surrender himself to the court on their mercy, 3. still it could not have been enough for the court and the court could have announced the sentence after a summary trial, 4. the final repercussion is that IK could have lost all rights of appeal against this sentence to the superior court since he has admitted his guilt. So this was a trap to disqualify IK easily and quickly. Our courts have become subservient to the establishment. Basically, the plan was to disqualify IK and create a level playing field for Mian Nawaz Sharif. Our "Mohsin-e- Pakistan", Gen. Bajwa had committed to Mian Nawaz Sharif in a recent meeting in London for a level playing field. But Allah has His own plans and schemes, people forget this simple fact. The plan has failed, because now this case will either die down at IHC level or will be defeated in the SCP.

I have feeling that as soon IK apologizes, the IHC will convict him… they are playing games with him. IK stand your ground, Pakistan is 4th from the bottom in terms of receiving justice in the world. Judges are either incompetent or corrupt.

When IHC don't have the authority to take so moto notice against anyone why all this happening???????? This is only to outest IK from Pakistani politics to clear the way for corrupt leadership. Enough is enough peoples of wanted that Pakistan should be cleared from corruption and clean government should come to protect the country. Otherwise we all Pakistanis see a civil war in the country even army can't do anything against millions of peoples when they will be on roads. IK should never apologize for threatening legal action against an injustice. The Islamabad highcourt is completely biased and hell bent in trying or convicting IK on trumped up charges. The charges that have no basis in law, other than a self benefitting reading of the law (which in itself is a grave injustice and contemp of court). If their is any contempt of court here, it's committed by the Islamabad highcourt itself (and yes, the worst of the contempt of court is the one that's committed by the court itself). If Islamabad highcourt wants to have any respect for itself and it's subordinate judiciary then they should spent time in making sure that they and their subordinate courts dispense justice and not try to silence their critics by judicial farce. It is a well established fact that judges in Pakistan either take bribes or make decisions to favor one or the other party, and most of the time flaunting the law. If that's not contempt of court, nothing is.

Why an apology? Has anyone taken action on custodial beatings? NO. This MAAFI syndrome is getting everywhere. This is the cause of people going Scott free. Even after an apology, what if the court proceeded against him. IK knows what is at stake and what he is doing.

No doubt IK is the most powerful, loveable and honest leader at this time and definitely this current case and it's speed shows that it was a try to "level playing" but at the same time IK has to remember that great leaders need to show more responsibility in their choice of words, actions and conduct. Since there's no comparison between PDM & PTI so we can't say that since PDM did something terrible PTI should also be given leaverage for that , PTI has certain level and ppl always expect good & greatness from PTI. Also name calling ,careless choice of words, degrading institutions will lead PTI no where. Then what's the difference between them & PDM.o other leader is carefully listened to and followed as IK, children take him as their role model and older think him as their saviour so my sincere advice is please be careful in your choice of words, show respect to your enemies also and give value & respect to your institutions.Believe me it will work wonders.
