AT LAST!!!🙏🏽 Thank you Asake! You’ve taken us back to our Naija roots. Fuji. Drums, Owambe. Aso-ebi. Jollof rice. Fried meat stew. Soft drinks. Small chops….and….. non stop dancing. 😅🔥🔥👏🏽👏🏽💃🏽🕺🏽
Nice comment bro, but no Hausa, Fulani or Igbo can relate as much with our Yorùbá Fuji, so rather than saying Naija roots, I'll rather say Yorùbá roots. How many not Yorùbá can read and comprehend talking drum, alujo or keregbe, like the sons of the soil and owners of the music? We are proud to share with everyone, but unless they embrace it as their sounds, it remains Yorùbá.
This is Fuji mixed with the old Afrobeats. Looking like Rema's "I de match am, I de match am", without the Fuji. There's a deliberate use of the old Afrobeats tempo coming back. This is while Afrobeats can remain relevant for a longer time coz of it's inclusion of other sounds within the Afrobeats space, pushing away the inclusion of amapiono in the Afrobeats log. Thereby giving the world same Afrobeats with a new rhythm to enjoy and listen to. The beat is mad❤️
Yes please!!! We need to keep it indigenously Afrobeats. That guy Odeal is killing it with indigenous sound. Again, Asake will always have my support but he needs to retool. I understand this third Album is a move towards the right direction but abeg less features. We don’t need too many songs. 6 good hits and we’re good to go. My fav is the Fuji song and the one featuring Wizkid

@@JimmysteeveVery funny question. Aren't people born in Yoruba land from other parts of naija?, what's the big deal about how she likes Fuji?. Na wa for you.
This is not just the best song on the album it's arguably Asake's best ever song in my opinion. What a tune. What a vibe. What a feeling. It transports you to the littest owambe, where your cap is now serving as a hand fan. The abula and soup in front of you is scalding hot and spicy. The live band is doing a madness. The glass of juice (pronounced jweez) and your favourite beer are standing side by side in camaraderie on your table. You check your pocket to confirm you have the wad of cash you're going to spray after you conquer this meal. Life is good. Yaradua is president.
I was born and raise in Sierra Leone found out my great grandfather was Yoruba. Also found out that the tribe call Krio in Sierra Leone are Yoruba Nigerian migrants.
That's where "Saro" in Lagos Island comes from. There are many families in Lagos that have links to the Krio people of Sierra Leone . There are some Yoruba words infused into the Krio language and some Krio families have Yoruba Surnames. Read about Bishop Adjai Crowther. Go and research on notable Nigerians that attended Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone.
Bringing back my yorubaness. asake😩🔥 Taking me to my roots Fuji music to the world🇳🇬🇳🇬 The gon-gon(talking drums)🔥 Sikiru ayinde barrister will be proud
More artistes should revive their old songs . Asake managed to create a masterpiece from his old song shodamo, and it's an instant hit. This is such a vib
