She's not the singer my generation used to listen to but her songs played a huge part in my growing up. My dad is a huge fan; we sang Mamang Sorbetero and Ibong Pitpit during weekends. I was humming her songs this morning so might as well play Gaano Kita Kamahal on RU-vid. Grabe! Serving Silver Fox realness! She aged very beautifully. Sobrang Lakas maka-alta! And the voice hasn't changed at all. Memories.

Levi Celerio composed this OPM classic love song. Celeste's voice hasn't changed. She carries a persona on stage distinct to her era. One of the golden ages of Pinoy music.

You are half correct. Levi Celerio wrote the Lyrics to this song but Ernani Cuenco Composed this ballad. Both are National Artists for Music.

My father passed away last feb 22 2021. Napaka mysterious na father, never kami nakaramdam na sweet bone galing sa kanya and every time i listen to this song, naiisip ko yung nararamdaman nya kung bakit eto yung favorite song nya kay mama. We are also second family. And ramdam ko yung meaning ng kanta para kay mama. Life is too short nga naman. Sana nuon pa nasabi namin sa kanya na mahal na mahal namin sya. Still one month and nag aantay pa rin kami sa kanyang pag dalaw. We miss you papa.
