I agree with you, Ovela. The career of singers in the Philippines is a tough competition. You have to be unique and insanely talented at the same time. Mori, Jona, Klarrise, & Katrina are topnotch vocalists, and Lyka is doing so well.
Mori and Klarisse’s song is called Ikaw ay Ako or in English, You are Me. It’s a song for a teleserye where an artist acts for a two role - TWIN. It’s like a conversation of two person at the same time. If you will understand better the meaning or the words, you will like it how the song was delivered. It’s been 8 years since it was released and yet, we love this song ❤
Up for this! MGN, also know what is the meaning behind the song that you are reacting to. It is not always about the vocals or what you hear. Just saying.
Thanks for recognizing Lyka Estrella. She really stands out. And the song she sang is her own first ever single which is also a teleserye song. Kudos to you and to Lyka Estrella
Atsaka counter melody ata tawag don.
I just love your hand it looks so soft. Otherwise what an honest reaction. I love Mori and Klarisse but Lyka and Sheena and also Jona and Katrina Nailed their part. Bravo reaction Ovela!
Ovella, what Morisette and Klarisse did was called musical weaving, if you know that. They overlap with each other because that’s how the music was arranged, and that was intended to give a message to listeners. Both of them were singing their own lyrics which contradicts each other (for instance, morissete was saying “di ko madama sa puso mo” which basically means I cant feel your presence, while Klarrise was saying “Ay dama ng puso, na ikaw ay ako” which means I can feel that we are one). The arrangement was intended to give a musical effect, and allow listeners to have different interpretations based on the messages that they were conveying through the lyrics. That was actually the song that they released together when they were starting their careers. So it’s a little ironic how you mentioned, “history” but didnt know that this song helped them boost their careers. You see how they smiled and hugged each other tightly in the end? That duet was like a reunion for them, it’s frustrating how you didnt even try to appreciate it and just straight up said “It’s not doing it for me”.
@@johnloydcastillo4962 I often hear from other singers what Mori and Klarisse do, and only recently learned that the technique they use is called musical weaving. The words and notes in musical weaving are definitely not the same, because this is not harmonization and I thought the music they performed was amazing and beautifully delivered, even though I didn't understand the language
Remember ovela does not understand our language so basically he's reacting on how the song was delivered. And not how it was delivered based on the interpretation of the song. And i agree with him because katrina & jona, lyka and the other girl delivered their rendition of their songs smoothly. For klarisse and mori, twas a lil bit magulo because again, his reaction was based on how their rendition was delivered, specially that part where mori and klarisse interacted was belted. Parang magulo nga naman. Don't get me wrong as i am a fan of mori and also klarisse.
Morissette and Klarisse duet is the most iconic duet in PH, the style, I think its called musical weaving correct me if im wrong, its hard to do yet their harmonies are still on point. They both stayed in their lanes but you can still identify whose singing who. Their voices complements each other, for me its the best duet loved it when they harmonize it has a heavenly feel to it.
You should react to the original song of Klarisse De Guzman & Morissette Amon " Ikaw ay ako" that's how they sing the song however in this performance it is much better than before. It is actually the composition of the song and they did a great job to it
Morissette and klarisse did the most difficult performance in this reaction video yet they killed it, it maybe sounded messy for you because you don't understand the lyrics.
Mori and Klarisse’s song has a vocal layering/weaving at the first verse because it was a song from a TV drama about twins with different personalities, thats why the song incorporates two persons talking with each other. since you didn’t like it I would say that there are lots of foreign reactors liked it and even without the translation, they guess what the song is about based on Mori and Klarisse’s interactions.
The first time I saw this video (Lyka’s part), I had same reactions like yours. My mouth was open the whole time and I did not help but laughed out of amazement. That girl was on fire.
Indivudually may kanya kanya silang strenghts but for this specific segment, I go with JONA and KATRINA. That's how a duet must be. 👏👏👏 masarap lang pakinggan kasi their voices blended so well.
Forever Team Sarah Pride Klarisse De Guzman and Morissette Amon - title of the song is : Ikaw Ay Ako Next Jona and Morissette sang Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw at ASAP Live in Milan
Morissette doesn't have to prove anything. Of course I would have liked her to have a bigger role in this whole "Showdown" for the audience to enjoy. Morissette's rendition of Ikaw ay Ako at the Araneta is still unreached. If she chose to do a duet with Lyka she would do anything for the benefit of the performance. She regularly steps back in all of her colabs to leave room for her partners (like she did for Klarisse in this video). Singing is not only belting out high notes, but even more it is transporting the message of the song, conveying emotions... Morissette can do all of that with her amazing range, her incredible storytelling, her ability to evoke emotions, her most pleasant tone (never becomes shrill as with most of the others), her charisma. Morissette is a complete vocalist, singer and artist. I have never heard anybody sing quite as good as her.
Queen Morissette Amon👑😍🇵🇭 is Queen Morissette Amon, the Best Singer today for me, one of the Most Talented Filipino Singer,no.1 Vocal Ability I've seen in any Singers, Technique and Vocal Control, one of the Best Song Interpreter that separate her from other Singers👑😍♥️👏 at this point no one can match Morissette, her duet with Klarisse prove that she's humble Divas and she can sang with others and still come out Amazing😍♥️ the reason why they're the Finale Duet they slay their own song😍👏Thanks
Mori is one of the best but most Filipino singers has an incredible techniques, has an amazing vocal control and very much good in interpreting songs, that qualities are very common to most singers.
On the first part of singing of Morissette and Klarisse they are like conversing in a singing way. They totally sung the exact verse. If you totally know or understand the lyrics, you will totally understand their part.
The song sung by Klarisse and Mori is their original duet song as OST for a TV series about twins, the song sung by the boys is the original song of Khimo Gumatay the one from Idol Phil., the song sung by Katrina and Jona is the original song of Katrina, while the song sung by Lyka and her partner is Lyka's original song 😊😊
Best Duet and the cleanist: Katrina X Jona Kudos to Lyka. Superb perf, as always! ❤️ Mori and Klarisse did well too, it’s just that some parts were kinda Messy.
Philippines needs more composers who compose non birit songs but catchy at the same time.
I understand why you think you didn't enjoy the song by Klarise and Mori. Maybe it's because you didn't understand the meaning and you're not familiar with Tagalog words, which made it sound messy to you. It's awesome to hear that Filipinos really love this song and appreciate its meaning. Thank you for the reaction, Ovela appreciates it! Sending love right back to you! ❤️❤❤
The song of Mori & Klarisse called waving style of singing duet, and thats how it suppose to do it because of the story, western singers are dont usually do it,
Lyka got the cake and ate it, too!!! Same opinion when I saw this live on ASAP. She ate all the other girls this time. And, Ovela is right, Mori and Klariz’s number was just all over the place, did not sound cohesive. Lyka’s a force to be reckoned with! Watch out everybody!
The 1st was original song of Katrina The 2nd is by Khimo The 3rd is by Lyka The 4rth originally sang by Morissette and klarise which is they did well..
Mr ovella im always watching youre reaction videos, please also react to this video ( Make way for the MAJESTY as they perform Air Supply hits! | All-Out Sundays ) this performance blow me away they all perfomed well, mr ovella i will wait for youre reation for this thanks in advance god bless
amaccana. klarisse and morissette are both amazing singers. they're the original singers of that song. they are just paying tribute andr espect to what the song is all about. I mean the intention of the song writer. alam ko bet mo bida bida yung binigay yung todo and pushes their limit. sa tingin ko hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon.they are both amazing 🎉
If you listen to the original, which both of them is rhe original singer, on the second chorus, they are singing it in that arrangement where they overlap each other.
I think its because you dont underatand the lyrics of the song that mori and klarisse sang😅 There original song, a teleserye ost.And youre correct lyka really standout here
I agree that Mori and Klarisse part here is a little messy. The one who directed it doesn't have ears to know what kind of blending is good and what's not. The skyline pigeon performance is better.
