Synopsis:::
The story is as Khokon Chowdhury is a famous industrialist who is very rich and successful. He is married and he does not pay any attension to his very young wife, Soma. He has a frenzied lifestyle and returns home late and gets himself drunk. The lonely wife gets extremely disturbed by this behavior of his and decides to come to Kolkata. The husband wife does not share any relationship that is normally found. Khokon had lost his father at a very early age and his mother had to take care of his needs by herself and so several of his fathers's friends frequented their house and took advantage of his mother's helplessness. Khokon was disgusted of this behavior and this mere thought didn't allow Khokon to come close to her wife who reminded him of her. They both a mole of their face, which some superstitious people believed were a sign of infidelity in women. Khokon's wife only had her father for support but even he gets mentally un-stable and is forced to get admitted in an expensive mental asylum, all expenses paid by the affluent son-in-law. On meeting the psychiatrist she learns that her father lost his mental balance after being forewarned of a terrible fate coming for his loving daughter. She returns to Kalimpong with her husband and back to her boring life when like a bust of fresh air in comes her old lover Shishir. He leaves her a letter, which unfortunately catches the attention of the ever suspicious older husband. He reads all of them. He is reminded of his childhood shock on finding his mother with another man in bed and ends up thrashing his wife.Disgusted, the next day she sets out in search of Shishir who was in Kalimpong too and meets him. The yesteryear emotions start getting stronger again. Soma requests him to elope with her. Blinded by her husband's distrust and her lover's grief, she starts getting mental. She ends up killing her husband in a freak accident. Just when she thinks she can get back to her desired life with Shishir again, he starts having second thoughts about her marked change in behavior. Her guilt kicks in, she starts hallucinating. Finally succumbing to the mental conflict, she ends her life.
