I thought mesothelioma can only come from crosidolite which is mainly used in ships? The other 5 types of asbestos only can cause lung cancer and asbestosis, correct me if I’m wrong!!
What is your job position takin the samples? I would love to get my license any tips ? I would want to take the samples and send them to the lab what is this position called?
Certified Asbestos Contractor and it takes 2000 hours of experience before you can even qualify… You can take a some 3 day courses and get certified to take samples for your own use but you can’t charge for it or cut into it without testing if you follow a protocol.
@@KD-hi6hh what would i need to do in order to be certified for the inspector do you have the link or anything? It would really help me a lot thank u!!
@@KD-hi6hh what if i plan to work myself as a business do i still need to be a asbestos contractor first if thats the case then i will work as a contractor first then do a insepctor role
@@adriangainz5936 Great! There are various levels of certifications that can allow you to sample and remove up to about 10 sq ft of area if you follow the protocols etc....But to do "Surveys" and submit a "Survey Report" you have to be a Certified Asbestos Contractor; at least here in Calif.
Totally disregards the Stachybotrys Toxic Black Mold on the paper backing of the tile drywall behind the tile while sampling a type of tile (and mastic) for asbestos which wouldn't even be suspected to contain asbestos. 🤦🏽♂️
The house was getting gutted and the workers were already wearing protection for Lead. The asbestos testing was just an extra precaution for worker safety. We completed several other tests on the house with a different company. Check out the full list- ru-vid.com/group/PLq5n3pNCsaDuXN0oGB4vq7_VmFHR7cmTN
If you are not planning on disturbing it- you can leave it in place. If you want to renovate, then it should be removed by a professional so you or the workers don't get sick from exposure.
