The fact you expect me to clear 2000+ floors to catch up to the current content with all these new mechanics and affixes without being rewarded for it, is absolutely delusional, you must be smoking some crack if you thought this was a good idea?
Of course you cant cover all the features with all these repetition and fillers. I like the guy and the effort that goes in these videos. But the actual worthy content of this vid is like 10min.
I've never donated money to any other private server in any game. You guys are doing a better job than the current Blizz ever will. And I love how you guys have in-game support and allow us to talk to GMs. Brings back memories.

The manastorm changes would be way cooler if we could unlock cosmetic weapons and armor appropriate to the creatures we encounter, along with being able to tame anything in manastorm that we have an ability to tame normally.
@@netherialdreyrimani Sounds like a decent recommendation. They would have to make the bonus caches have an expiration date though and probably remove the card packs from them or lower the chances of getting one, cuz that would be way to OP
The new manastorm maps are so fricking cool men. Here's an idea for the future: Vordrassil map with a void infused Grizzlemaw chieftain, maybe a two bosses encounter since there are two tribes in the zone.
@@BanditTech I'm talking about the regen flowers, just to be clear. The normal just hp regen affix was undertuned if anything and barely noticeable. Every other boss had the flowers tho which made melee bosses just a huge pain to constantly kite around in an extended fight, while casters were a hard dps check, since you couldn't get them to move. That feedback has been given before though, so I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt here and assume they've taken it into consideration.
To begin with, really cool video. Manastorm changes are obviously late, but better late than never. Overall very well done patch, cannot wait to spend my 5k scrolls and see if it got better 😎 Very nice editing altogether, your new artistic direction is refining over time for the better and we see the efforts some members of the team do, keep up the good work (and communicate, pretty please)
I like the Manastorm changes. Since transmog is pretty hard to get in general, is there any thought of allowing players to gain transmogs similar to those of the new/ special creatures we encounter in the manastorm? Some enemies look sick, I'd love to get their shoulders, helmet or whatnot.
Is the nagrand looking sky used in these cinematics and showcase videos ever going to be available as a graphics option to use in game? I think it looks stellar.
Are there any chances that we'll get more detailed information about buffed numbers. Like "more synergy rolls" How much more? What were they before? etc, this also goes for the more skill card thing. Additionaly, in the news article released a day or 2 ago, it posted a decent chunk of new talents/skills that we can aquire, are they going to be all we're getting or is there more that just hasn't been spoiled yet? Same goes for balance changes.
Its mentioned that it often feels like you are fighting the on-death affixes in manastorms rather than the enemies, so why are you putting in more of them and using the trade-off of them affecting the enemies aswell as a positive when the enemies arnt the one who have to deal with 5-10 or more of the affixes at the same time when the actual fighting is over?
The density of affixes was actually reduced a lot, and there is just a higher variety of them. You won't see 5-10 affixes at a time like before! Now, the affixes you get are more like these increases to haste and damage you can leverage, so there's even less to deal with.
6:35 this point right here is something that has really bothered me about this season. If I roll into some aspect of the game I don't want to do, like Feral for instance, I have to roll off it immediately, before leveling, or else I get spammed with talents for it.
Sad to see no profession updates in terms of chance to get a scroll while doing em or anything. no crazy overworld stuff just mostly manastorm huh... lol
Love all the new spells, however I have a suggestion, it is very tideous to go look in ascension db (wich is not always up to date) to know the scaling of a spell, how difficult it would be to implement and show (maybe with a toggle in settings) the detailed stat scaling of a spell in the tooltip ? It would be easier for new players to know how to gear themselves and choose a main stat.
Super stoked about all of these changes! I started back up a few weeks ago and have been trying hard to roll a strong build. I’ve pushed to mana storm 350 and that’s kind of the point where I’ve gotten reluctant to go in as much. Can’t wait for new mana storm mechanics and better rewards! Ascension to the moon! 🚀🚀🚀
Can i watch and react to this on my stream? I was going to be playing this game on Twitch. I wanted to start off with this video as a sort of way to explain what it is and well as, naturally, reacting to what I'm about to watch here.
While I appreciate improvements to Manastorm, it feels like the playerbase is spread a little thin across the modes. This is making it harder to get some group content done as the player numbers continue to vary over the chapters.
Man I wish these changes had been in effect during the first chapter1, it would easily have been the best season ever. many of these changes were even asked for during the first few weeks of chapter 1. But I don't think I have another 500 hours in me to grind more ascension. Probably just going to wait till TBC or Season 10
Hey, totally understandable. One of the biggest hardships is knowing what the game needs and taking the time to make sure the updates are super high quality so that they actually fix the core problems. We'll continue rolling out updates, so that you can have a blast whenever you decide to jump back in!
Sometimes I will take a break from ascension but I eventualy return at some point. The Manastorm BG looks funny but I wish there would be some more rewards for farming in NR/HR alike.
It would be neat if the manastorm-specific spells had their own tab in the spellbook I would imagine the Ascension tab might start feeling super cluttered and jumbled for those who already have a lot in that tab
I know manastorm was huge, but is there any endgame content updates planned? I think the skill updates are great don't get me wrong and youre doing amazing but sometimes feels like there isn't much to do with them once you've got your build complete? The milestones in manastorm are great, can we get more of that type of stuff?
I would love to see more scrolls to reroll Abilities in those chest thingies from doing quests. I get so many Talent scrolls but the Abilities are what I need to reroll 😅
Dont forget to fix the naming of the cache's from mana storm. When it says "Mythic" make it give "Mythic" loot not "Heroic" or "Normal" or even "WotlK" loot. Thanks. P.S. Yes. This problem was reported multiple times.
I've played & supported ascension since 2017, and was so hyped for this season... so much was left to be desired, old QoL updates were reverted and lessons were not learned. Manastorms felt mandatory rather than fun and i quit after 2 weeks in the gulag. The timeline was just so slow paced, and the lack of meaningful changes meant that for me, there was just no reason to stick around. S9 fell short on so many promises. These changes came so late and won't be enough to bring me back. Hopefully season 10 will be freepick. See you next year, maybe.
The manastorms were definitely more mandatory than they should have been and in the wrong difficulty range (spamming 1-50). A lot of updates dropped to deal with that and are live now. At your own pace, whenever you're ready to jump back in we'll keep updating!
Not trying to complain or anything since i absoluetly love everything yall been doing and really enjoy my time playing the game. but id really like to see some more Pet focused things. i know yalls been making more things tame able however as a person who's style of play is more Summoner micromanage player. it would be really cool to see some new stuff to increese the play style like. Some thing where the player them selfs do less dmg but they can tame another pet like a undead/demon or like Dragon/beast for cool syergys and other ideas. thanks for reading guys just wanted to give and idea and tons of love!
We're absolutely experimenting with things like this! The only reason more things like this aren't in the game is because having a single 'pet' (like a hunter pet) is hard-coded into the game. The Necromancer class in CoA found a way around that by using 'guardian' pets, which like Spirit Wolves and Treants allows for more summons. Bringing that mechanic to classless for a more summoner-eqsue playstyle is definitely on the table.

Wasn't interested in servers like Turtle or Ascension but the sheer production quality of these videos, the site, and the custom gameplay additions seem top class and I'm definitely giving this a spin even if I'm not huge on seasonal content but who knows maybe i'll learn to love this!
The community here, especially on Area 52, is way kinder than retail in my experience. This has decent learning curve to it but it's fun even when you don't know what's going on lol.
That Void-infused Broken would look great as a Felguard skin. One that we could get from the webstore, because he's the only summoned demon that doesn't have one on there. You guys have no excuses, when are you allowing us to buy skins with DP for the Felguard?
There were a few changes in addition to this to make them feel better: - Affix density was reduced A LOT, so you just won't see any - There is a big indicator for the affixes now, so you can see the radius for them so you don't get pulled in. - And they deal damage to mobs as noted
I love manastorms, if you do it while lvling, it like Torghast where you get powers as you keep going. I can't wait to mess with the new manastorm changes!
RNG talents, RNG abilities. yall really went hard on the RNG for season 9. any chance for future chapters we can get free pick with all these new changes? tried season 1 and just gave up at like lvl 40-45 once i realized i had completely useless talents and abilities and would have to prestige again and then realized my prestige run would also likely end with another useless build. i really want to play Ascension again but total RNG is keeping me away and im not really interested in playing on an old private server of Area 52. its not too late add free pick for chapter 2!

In Later updates, can you guys please port over Console Port Addon to your launcher Addons List? It won't work normally, cause Ascension got too much custom stuff. I have tried to set up an alternative through steam's big picture mode. However it's kinda clunky, compared to the features Console Port have. Console Port works on official Classic Wow versions, so it should be possible to port it over someway. Also GJ with Chapter 2 & love the video humor 🤣
I don't understand why every new season has to be wildcard or some other form of RNG. It doesn't matter how many systems they put in play to combat bad RNG. Players are still getting so many useless spells and talents that don't go together. Forcing us to prestige over and over hoping maybe that we might get a viable build to use.
@@ascensiongg 1 league out of 4 was free pick but its still doesn't change the fact that all the seasons are some form of RNG BS. Me and alot of people came to Ascension in first place to play free pick hero system you advertised sense the start. And to force RNG systems on spell and talent selection to WoW that already is RNG heavy on loot and other core systems is BS.
