I’ve been playing this server since 2017 and always find myself coming back. This seems like the greatest thing you guys have done so far and I’m looking forward for all of the nostalgia to seep back in and return to a classless Azeroth.
Wildcard was already a great system, but you guys took that system to the next level, THIS is what Ascension is all about, I have never been this excited for a season before! True classless, no rarity caps, this is a season I do NOT want to miss!
The Ascension team has done beyond amazing. An adventure mode that makes the world feel alive? Raids that have trials? Once again Ascension shows how much better and creative they are! Excited to try everything. Seeing the mystic enchants broken apart is going to be a theory crafter's dream
Ascension team showing once again they are ahead of the curve when it comes to generating new content. With a much smaller team than most triple A companies yet putting out equal or better work. Bravo guys. Me and my “flavour of the month” squad won’t be missing this launch. And for giveaway eligibility ;) Most excited for the QoL updates to the enchant pages, and the revamp of skill cards/talents feels very next gen.
As a private server dev i easily made Sod with retail spells the past month. Its actually impressive ascension devs is better than the 2 blizzard classic interns... one probably has way more money
After almost 2 years spent on Ascension, this season completely reaffirms my belief that with every new update from the Ascension Team the game just gets better and better. Cannot WAIT to see more about all of these new talents and abilities, the new combinations really have my gears turning about cool new ideas. As always, fantastic job from the entire Ascension Team!
My friends and I just joined this server, and I cannot explain how excited I am to experience the adventure this new season will bring for us. I have nothing but great things to say about my experiences here so far.
So you are doubling down on the extreme frustration that is draft and endless rolling by including talents. Outside the select few abilities and talents, I get to grind forever to potentially never get my build. I loved the league 4 with the pre-builds, that you could fine tune. Wildcard looks like a step back then forward, random does not equal fun.
This is my 4th season playing i kind of feel like a senior graduating year im so excited about the new upcoming things in the season but more importantly looking to play game with all my favorite community of heroes. Thank you again devs for all you do.
we have arrived in a new era where private servers Devs are doing better than the official team. ascension wow - fully custom wow with AMAZING ideas and implementation turtle wow - a true vanilla+ where they keep adding more content to vanilla wow and they all lore friendly. warmane - the biggest blizzlike private server. they started to add QoL to increase players enjoyment. this is the big 3 of private server to ascension team, well done, you have done so much, I hope this server will be a big success.
I have no idea how you guys keep doing it but every season you're bringing so many things new to the table. Been playing here for 3 years; I've never seen a game be able to keep my attention for so long. Can't wait to play this new season; keep up the great work everyone!
As a casual and only tried a few seasons some time ago i'm more worried that there is almost too much stuff to do and i don't know what all of these apply to me
It can be overwhelming for sure but they've made some very good onramps to just get in there and play and as you go you start picking up on the complexity. The best advice I always give to newish players is just focus on one fun build you wanna do and read EVERYTHING and the rest starts to happen.@@Jermuuu
I always have high expectations for these reveal trailers, and time after time the Ascension team manages to exceed them. This looks like so much fun, I can't wait to play!
I had been saying this for literal YEARS. Ascension needed to go back to its classless roots. But I would be lying if I said I expected this level of change within the next few years. Yet here we are, a brand new season with a whole ton of incredible content, along with the ascension team doing what seemed to be improbable: Bringing back Classless! I thought I was excited for Season of Discovery, but I'm infinitely more excited for the Season of Destiny's Dawn!
as a new player im most excited about how im going to build my character i got a character to lvl 70 3 days ago and the most hard thing for me was trying to come up with a build or use someone elses build but i keep getting overwhelmed by how many stuff i need to do for it but now i feel like its gonna be a bit easier with the no restrictions thing also the call board thing is amaizing with all players going to a single place to do quests and dailies it will make the game feel even more alive than it already is cant wait till this comes out
Most excited to start playing on seasonal realm again and seeing all the new original content. Season 9 is gonna be the best season yet, and the new arena maps are badass
Ascension team, have you considered adding the allied races as custom modification to already existing races, where possible? Or at least the new barbershop changes to existing core races?
@@Blackhuskyy I couldn't agree more, the Ascension staff accel at the randomness and gambling aspect of seasonal but greatly lack in new content. Don't get me wrong I love Ascension at its core but hate the way they roll out or lack thereof actual new content. No new zones, raids, dungeons, races etc. like other private servers and have been dangling Wrath like a carrot on a stick for more years than I can count. In 8 years they have 1 new raid Boss and now 2 world bosses, sad imo.
Multi-billion dollars companies can't make things as good as this. I haven't been interested in WoW in like 5 solid years, and that was Monster wow (decent private server but nothing like this). I am impressed and looking forward to playing the best version of my beloved warcraft universe. Feels like wow 2.0
What an awesome presentation. Even as an PvP Only Andy iam so impressed by the PvE Changes that i definitly will also play PvE in Season 9. How can u guys release such insane Content every year. Well done !
Wow. I've been lurking around this project for years and while I have nothing against it - I'm just burnt out of WarCraft altogether, so I don't really participate in this at all. However, I think I'll be playing this season instead of other things. The amount of work done here is phenomenal. Fantastic stuff, really. Well done, people.
WOW! You guys are just incredible. Adventure mode and Mana-storm look amazing and are such good ideas! One point of feedback for you: If the new callboard quests don't come with increased spawnrates for mobs, a lot of people won't do them because fighting other players for spawns is the absolute worst part of MMOs. It's a super negative experience and generates toxicity in the community. As a programmer myself I can only imagine how difficult some of these things are to solve, given how much custom client and server stuff you got going on. But I wish for this to be a top priority if possible! Thank you for everything. All the new content looks amazing, I wish you guys all the best with this season and I hope it's a great success and you see even more growth of the server! Cheers.
I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm looking forward to the new random-ness and scroll system for leveling. I love prestiging and trying new builds, and I don't stay much at endgame, so a fresh shake-up is always great. Thanks for all the work you all do innovating!
Very interesting direction to take Ascension - passed my expectations and looks like loads of fun to play. Looking forward to the Wildcard-ness of things for sure.
Extremely excited for adventure mode. Having a new challenge unlike anything before is more than novelty. It will be a breath of fresh air in otherwise stale mmo scenes. Thanks for keeping it fresh!
Until you see an update and a note " We fixed an issue with (some skill) it was performing better than anticipated .. 50% scaling reduction and 40% base damage reduced" Imagine your favorite builds you spend 3 weeks to perfect getting decimated daily and try to enjoy the game after that.
With everyone rolling a lot of different abilities and talents you really can't roll the exact same build as someone else, so this shouldn't be needed will just do more subtle nudges with balance periodically as needed.
I started at the end of s7 and it just gets better every update, every patch and every season. The work of this team is incredible. Even Blizzard starts to steal things and ideas from Ascension "looks at SoD" but cant do it even half as good xD. I played Retail for a very long time but since i discovered Ascension it was over immediately. Once you go Ascension Project, you'll never go back. So much fun playing this. Cheers to the whole Team! Can't wait to test out all this stuff!
Welp tbh i was expecting wotlk cuz, another season, another run from classic to tbc it's getting old already, ngl some of the news got me excited to play S9 put still got bit of let down knowing is Classic/TBC (tbh i would preffer only Classic) but anyways, Wildcard is back and more Wild than before, Adventure mode seens sick af, the Raid Trials gonna be really awesome, the new DGs system will get me hooked for dungeon diving and Prestiging looking foward to play
This is easily the most exciting thing I've seen in Warcraft history. Not even Ascension history. This looks like it adds so much to the replayability factor. Really excited to see what kind of ridiculous amalgamations I can put together!

Splitting the enchants up into multiple new abilities and talents to mix and match is the best change you could of made. Being forced into specific classes and abilities via LREs created such a devastating meta that made trying to be creative with new build ideas incredibly underwhelming. Really looking forward to seeing what crazy build I can make in S9!

Was expecting just new mystic enchants and more difficulties for raiders, mythic dungeon and prestige challenges, am happy to be surprised with a lot lot more content.
automatic recycling is a really cool feature and the fact its not gonna sit in my bags is great. wildcard dungeons is awesome too keeps them from getting stale, adventurer mode just proves you guys listen to the community which i absolutely love. overall i feel like this update is going to be fantastic and the overhauls look amazing.. Im anticipating full release tell dutch hes cute for me.
Im hoping we have a challenge that reduces your damage more than 5% cause I personally like leveling and being able to do a nice rotation with whatever build I want without one shotting everything lol. Either way such a good game.
When i Look back, ascensions performance still growing step by step. Every new step was a bigger and better one. The last 7 years i had a good time and always find new ways to have fun. Sure i will try the new adventure and the next and the next and the next. Ascension ❤
Mana Storms look like what I wish Mythic+ was... I hated the rush and "Round'em up and AoE'em down" meta and beating a timer. I am very excited to try this!
i dont understand how Blizz cant do this with a huge team when these guys are a smaller team and are pushing out better content than blizz has in 10 years LOL
Ascension team you make stuff that are things i want bc now a days theres no challenges but you keep the old ways going i cant wait for the MANASTORM bc it looks Awesome!
As someone who kept wishing the open world got more love, but couldn't think of another way to make it plausible, i'm very excited to see how this plays out and what kind of rewards are in store. I imagine you'd need a full group for the higher scalings for even some normal quests and that pulls at my heart.
This looks amazing. I can't believe how quickly you guys iterate and move the needle. Mana Storms look awesome and I really hope I can convince a few friends to try Adventure Mode. Wild card looks so much more fun than draft mode. Awesome job guys!
Seems pretty fun. Will any of these updates be coming to the server that my main character is on? Or will I basically no matter what need to start over to do any of this?

A phenomenal tribute to the early seasons with a new twist, amazing. The possibilities with the shattered enchants are practically limitless and truly classless. As a bonus the new wildcard reminded me of the feeling you get when hitting a full build in the initial wildcard seasons. All hail the almighty TG WF Battle chicken!!!
You think we'll get a server , with the classless options, the level up system of Vanilla WoW ? I actually miss the slow burn leveling and world exploration of OG WoW . I'm a new player , curious if will 1 day see that again ..
@@Nemeroth77yeah back in the days , some area were tuff , made a lot of friends and good rewards back then , it was challenging, but holy Dip 2:04 😮 have you done that in the game yet made a ability spell ? I left this comment , before I even seen the whole video 😂
Have you guys considered making new zones in azeroth, saw a map somewhere with a northern Lordaeron and scarlet citidel and thought how amazing that would be.
