I like Lizzie but I disagree with her. There's a dress code according to the place you choose to be. You simply have to follow it. For me is even more fun to see this diversity of styles. I'm sure that if they were not as strict with the dress code people slowly would kill de class, sophistication and glamour that is a strong part of Ascot.
