This video describes the case of a patient with a large ASD and pulmonary hypertension, who was treated as a first step with pulmonary vasodilators and then with a surgical closure of the ASD with a fenestrated patch.
Objectives:
1. Step-by-step surgical closure of an ASD with a fenestrated patch
2. Demonstrate the changes in hemodynamics in a patient with ASD and pulmonary hypertension treated with pulmonary vasodilators
3. Why to choose an heterologous patch over an autologous patch for fenestrated closure of an ASD
