Free food is always great. Looks like you guys will of a wonderful feast over the holidays. One dinner finished tonight so I only have two left. Thank heavens I feel a little better today. My son and his family were over for the dinner tonight. It’s alright for them to be over as I know I got this sick feeling from them. You know family sharing lol. Take care.
Wow I want to order from your Asda, there’s not chance we’d get anything for free at ours lol. Looks like you are going to have a lovely Christmas with that lot :) xx
Their service was fantastic. They rang me to talk about the substitutions and to say they had found the items originally requested but I could keep the subs thst had been thrown in, anyway.
I really enjoyed this video!!! Thanks for sharing your Christmas food Pip !!!! ❤ You're the best!!! ❤❤❤ It'll be a busy time but If you think about it - please share you making your potato salad & recipe 😋. Thanks again!! 😍
You are very welcome Lizz. I'm glad I could share it for you. Thanks for suggesting it. Have a great Christmas. I'll try and remember to film the potato salad! Xx
Hi and love to you all, Wow you did do well from Asda, my order two weeks ago had 19 unavailable items and they did not substitute any of them. Have a Wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. X
Oh my goodness. I'm sorry you had that situation. Honestly, I was expecting to have to go and hot the supermarket this weekend. But we have been very fortunate. And they rang me yo discuss substitution items too. Which I was very impressed with.
Can't believe you got so much free . Brilliant bargain. I went to Morrisons just because it was convenient as the fact we were passing. Which I hadn't bothered so expensive as I actually then was able to go to Aldi and saw the she stuff so much cheaper. I am now on a no spend January( starting early) unless it's absolutely necessary food or petrol x
I do like to go to Morrisons occasionally. As they do so nice and unusual meals and dishes that I don't find in other supermarkets. But you are right. They are not cheap. I'm sure they used to be classed as a cheaper option years ago. But I feel they are up there with Sainsbury now.
There were a few things that were new to me. What is a pork pie? Pie filled with pork? I thought you made the Christmas cake icing in the past? That was a really good haul for that price. Lots of savings. Thanks for posting this so I didn’t have to go through withdrawal 😁💕
I have made Royal iving in the past, but I'm just going for ease on this occasion. 😆 glad I could throw a video together for you 😆 A pork pie is a traditional English meat pie, usually served either at room temperature or cold. It consists of a filling of roughly chopped pork and pork fat, surrounded by a layer of jellied pork stock in a hot water crust pastry. It is normally eaten as a snack or with a salad.
That order would have been $215.00 Canadian. Crazy eh? The sausage rolls sound delicious.. hubby would love that. Between the money you found the other day, and the savings and freebies for this grocery order, I think you are rolling in dough now.. hahaha. I'll be cooking a 30 pound turkey..... yes... you read that right..... 30 pounds!. The fella across the road who's wife went into a care home, gave it to hubby as they wouldn't be cooking or eating it. So, the 15 pound one we have in the freezer will be good for another time.
Oh yes. A nice sausage roll with salad and nibbles on Boxing day! 👌 I have been rather lucky this week. Finding the cash, work rolling in and lots of free food and a full Christmas food delivery. I'm feeling super blessed.
