Now that food title is impressive ! / Oh yes - quality playing and quality tune - just love JK / I have seen some similar products around. I think M&S were doing something similar some time ago. I tried their beef chili which was pretty good, but certainly a treat, not cheap. / This looks pretty good visually ! / I would eat that for sure I think.. and I agree I would add that juice ! / Nice one mate, Mark.
Can't imagine why it says tip away the juice because it's always been part of cooking beef. A bit of a faff to do but ok if your not in a hurry. Best pulled beef that I had was one Xmas, when I covered a beef joint in foil and cooked it overnight on the lowest oven setting for over 10 hours. Warmed the place nicely too on a cold day.
Yeah great idea to keep those juices Pap, I probably would have done the same thing it did look as though it may have been a tad dry without them despite the sauce not gonna lie!
Hi Papp. A real barbacoa is cooked using mesquite wood. If you want an easy 'pull', go with the grain, not against it. Yeah saving the cooking liquid is a better option. Pour it into a separator and then pour the juice into the meat as required. I'm really not a fan of pulled meats. I prefer thick slices, not the stringy stuff. So I'd dismiss step 2, cut off a thick slice (going with the grain) and add the sauce. Nice review. Cheers mate 👍🤤😀
What a crazy set of instructions on the packaging Papp... Instructing customers to discard the Beef Juices... The very same Beef Juices that'll give the Beef it's flavour... And although it's all the money at £4.75 for 370g... I think that once the weight of the Beef Juices and Chipotle & Lime Marinade are taken into consideration... There's probably less than 200g of Beef content here... You can actually buy a small Asda Tender Beef Jointing Roast (Typically 400g) for £4.80... Oven cooking times are as follows once the Joint as been seared in either a frying pan or in the Oven... Rare: 21 minutes per 500g plus 21 minutes Medium: 30 minutes per 500g plus 30 minutes Well done: 50 minutes per 500g plus 50 minutes Per 500g - 150°C, 300°F, Fan 130°C, Gas 2 And although there's no guidelines for cooking in an Air Fryer... I would guess that it could probably be cooked in slightly less time than the times stated for a regular Oven... But i'm definitely going to order one of these Asda Slow Cooked Mexican Inspired Pulled Beef Barbacoa Ready Meals Papp... But they have an offer on at the moment too pal... Where you can buy two of these packs for £8.00... But not until next week though mate... As I've just had my Asda online order delivered at lunchtime today... And yes... I've got my six packs of Asda Succulent Cooked & Peeled Cold Water Prawns too pal... 🍤😋 Many thanks for the review Papp... It's very much appreciated... All the very best... Cheers mate. 🍺
