ASEG: Accelerated Secondary Education for Girls 

AET’s Accelerated Secondary Education for Girls (ASEG) is a learner centred secondary education model that provides a pathway for vulnerable and economically marginalised young girls to complete secondary education in a condensed format spanning 2.5 years instead of 4. Learners follow the competency based national curriculum and graduate with a fully accredited Certificate in Secondary Education as well as core competencies for further study and work. ASEG is unique as it is one of the few documented accelerated secondary education programmes globally and so provides a model for how secondary education can be achieved efficiently in low resource and conflict affected areas.
