You guys are severely underestimating Asgore. Remember, that when we fought Asgore he did NOT want to win. He was hoping that we would DEFEAT HIM. Had he not been holding back, had he been fighting for his kingdom, I definitely think he would win. If Asgore wasn’t holding back when we were fighting him, his battle would be more harder than Sans.

I really like this interpretation of the Spade King. Unconvential and probably inaccurate, but really fitting, especially considering he’s Lancer’s dad.

I'm still fairly sure an asgore not holding back is stronger than Sans, when you fought him, he was depressed and suicidal, right on the damn edge, he has like, NO will to live. Yet despite this, he can tank so many shots from the player, and deal some pretty good damage compared to all the other monsters as well since its clear he also really doesn't want to kill you. Keep in mind a monster's stats are canonically connected to their will to hurt and live. This is like if a cripple (all limbs) was playing football and doing better than people with all their limbs perfectly healthy. He was target number 1 for the human wars, I guarantee it, and the dude didn't die during the war. Not only did he not die, it even appears he actively fought on the frontlines. A single human soul is supposed to be stronger than all the monsters put together, and it straight up says that the monsters were massacred, meaning killed. They were out to kill, Asgore was on the front line, and a high priority target at that, and not only did he LIVE but he also appears he was only ever pushed back! Just to give an indication of credit for the lore of how strong humans are, btw, your character is a literal CHILD, and can literally murder the entire underground, and even when you're at your very BEST (worst) Asgore still tanks a 9999999 damage shot before dusting. A pissed off asgore could probably, lore wise, absolutely destroy everyone in the underground himself.

Imagine how sad it would be if Asgore lost his kingdom in 4 minutes.

OK to anyone who sees this and is curious into who would actually win, i got your answer in MATH. according to the undertale and deltarune wikis respectively, in the pacifist route for both fights Asgore has 3500 health and the Chaos king only has 2800. now Asgore has a LOT more attack than the Chaos king, Asgore having 80 and chaos king only having 5. even if we check the data of the game Asgore still has 10 attack. Now you have to remember that undertale is technically considered a game according to sans meaning it follows the rules of taking turns to attack. this means that Asgore wins by default, but we have never witnessed to monsters battling so ill assume that it works differently specifically for humans. this means that Asgore still wins, for the simple reason of his attacks being a little bit slower than Chaos kings, but doing more damage and making up for it in health. oh did i also mention Asgore has 80 defense and chaos king has NONE? there is realistically no other way to put it, Asgore wins unless i'm forgetting something in which case please tell me so i can recalculate my answer.

I appreciate how the two display distinct fighting styles. Asgore showing off both strength and form, while King has no issue utilizing dirty tactics.

I think Asgore would win because of these reasons 1. Asgore proven in fight he takes about 20 hits but the tyrant takes about 12 hit meaning asgore has more hp 2. Also Asgore proven has great reselience proven in the fight 3. Asgore has a giant trident and can easily slay the tyrant. Asgore Downside: has too much depression

The choreography is incredible. As are the funky expressions and wacky art style and exaggeration. The movements are just slick as hell. You’re talented beyond belief.
