With the release of Legends Z-A next year, I kinda think and hope that Ash will return in a side-series or 2025 movie, and play a role similar to what Alain did in the Mega Evolution Specials before he met Ash in the main series during XYZ…
I'm confused about Alain being in the main anime. We had another Pokemon special featuring Raikou. And Jimmy, the trainer with Typhlosion, didn't get to be in the main series and became Ash's rival. But Alain DID!?

They did so many characters dirty with their SUPER short return journeys, and I bet that's cuz they plan to bring them back later, specifically with Serena they purposefully made her comeback short and coincidental to tease the shit out of the fans, and you can't tell change my mind
imagine this scenario: Liko and Roy are getting attacked by bad guys their pokemon are outnumbered and are almost ready to faint then out of no where you hear a Pikachu roar and mighty thunderbolt shocking the foe's pokemon. Liko and Roy look around to see who had helped them. Liko says to Roy look up there on the hill and all we see is silhouette of Ash (pikachu on his shoulders) and the silouhette of Ash's new team behind him and all what Ash says to his team is lets go guys. And with Ash heading off you hear Liko and Roy shouting wait and then Roy turns to Liko saying do you think we'll ever see that trainer again and Liko's response will be I sure hope so. I know this sounds cheesy but hey it's the best I can come up with.

While Ash may no longer be in the anime, I do like the thought that they left the rest of his journey up to the fans' imagination. We wanted him to become the very best like no one ever was, and he did. So any other smaller things fans wanted him to do, they can have a lot of fun imaigning those scenarios themselves. I would like for him to not just one day come back, but actually come back a few or more years older than when he left us. I know that they had a rule that Ash is forever ten year sold, but do they still really need to follow that rule since he's no longer the main protagonist?
Imagine a Mega Evolution spinoff sequel but with Ash. Here is a simple summary on what I think the plot could be: Ash returns to Kalos, reunites with Greninja again. Finds a mysterious Mega Stone in a similar coloration to Greninja, gets attack by the explorers, who are hunting for his Greninja after learning about the battle bond ability. Ash Mega evolves Greninja revealing the new replacement of Ash-Greninja, and the form is surprisingly much cooler than Satoshi-Gekkouga, Mega Gekkouga defeats the Explorers, and so Ash begins his quest to descover the secrets of Greninja's mysterious mega stone.
And Ash is joined by new companions such as Green silver Brendon Lucas Rosa Hugh Florian Juliana and last but not least Tobias N and Serena and it would take place three years after journeys and so ash and his new friends would be 14 years old

Honestly I think ash will make a couple of cameos. I know a huge company would never lose a chance to make easy money (not it a bad way) Also, he appeared in Pokémon masters (video game) so maybe he will make another video game appearance?
Honestly, im expecting for him to reappear (possibly) very later on in the series, not as early as now with how new it is right now. Though, It could be possible that based on how long they want this series to go on, like maybe after a few years, we could possibly see him again near the end of the new horizons series seeing that it could be a bit of a problem if he were to show up this early on into the new main characters journeys. 🤔

What people need to remember - Ash Ketchum is the product. It comes down to revenue - if the producers believe that revenue is lower and they would see higher revenue with Ash, then Ash will return. From my opinion, as someone who grew up with the show - I would prefer the character to always be Ash. I do not care if the stories are the same - for me, it is that part of my childhood that I still had until Ash was removed. I know I am narrow-minded for saying this, but I will NOT be giving Horizons a try, nor any other series/season where Ash is not the primary protagonist. I did not 'grow up' with Liko and Roy - I only grew up with Ash/Pikachu, so I have no interest in the two new characters. Again - I only hope that the revenue pattern shows as higher when Ash was the main character, so then they will bring him back to normal.
I think if ash liko would meet... 1.liko is watching ash battle against someone like nemona and pikachu and sprigatito become friends while ash is talking to liko 2. Liko falls in the middle of nowhere and ash offers a hand to pick her up and liko recognised him because she watched his battle with Leon. 3. Sprigatito gets lost and ash finds her and gives her food and while everyone is eating liko and roy come around the corner shouting sprigatito then ash gives them sprigatito and says hi I'm ash from pallet Town and this is pikachu and then they all travel together. Those are my ideas😊
I’m enjoying Amethio, it’s nice seeing someone who wants to fight legendary types and will do whatever its takes to get there. He gets humbled by charizard, dusknoir and black rayquaza but still watching him climb is refreshing and he doesn’t sound like girl pretending to be a boy.

Even though Ash left the anime, it’s great to see that she might come back in the newer one as a guest star. He was my childhood and he was amazing. I was sad to see that Kim and Pikachu left the series and honestly, I will never forget when Pokémon came out with their adventures coming on, I can’t wait to see how his return turns out
I got a theory on how Ash will come back, he will meet with the new main characters, tell them on what happen in the other seasons, and then they let him join them so then he’ll be a main character again, but hey that’s just a theory a serie’s theory
I made a character that i viewed as Ash's best friend. He traveled with Ash on all of his adventures (Except during Battle Frontier cuz i wanted to give him his own story) and stuck with Ash since Johto all the way to Kalos. During Ash's adventures in Aloha, he basically had his own adventures and made new and old friends and fought against an evil team i made for him to get into conflicts. Then during the 8th gen anime, he did what Ash did and traveled all over the world and competed against Ash in the World Coronation series. And like with Ash, i stopped making adventures with him to make a new character. But either way, that character is important to me like with Ash. I will never forget him or Ash, because they were my childhood and i would never forget them 🥹

Allow the new Trio to develop their own goals and dreams. While please allow for the passes of time just two or three years would be find because it allows Ash to not change that much and it also allows characters like Max and Bonnie to start their own Pokémon journeys.
Ash will end up being The AI down in Area Zero alongside an AI Pikachu. When Liko, Nemona, Penny and Roy end up down there Ash will be plugged into the Computer and a Sad variant of the Original Theme Song will play to tear at the OG fans' heartstrings. Until Arven, Professor Sada or Turo appear or are made even canon then it for sure will be Ash who will be down there and yes we will get to see his eyes glowing Red to symbolize the fact that he is the anime's take on Red after all.
So could Ash help Li find her purpose? I mean it wasn't hard for him, not to mention the Galgar region is possibly the center of where champion fighters come to prove what it takes to make themselves Pokemon masters eventually.
I mean its probably inevitable that he at least makes a background appearance on somethings phone or something cause he is the worlds best pokemon trainer
I will never forget that ash has birthed a Pokemon trainer in me! And has my heart set on fire for Pokemon! We should put up a bronze statue of ash and pikachu in the future!
If Ash does return in Pokemon Horizons, he SHOULD be voiced by Veronica Taylor again. Veronica Taylor didn't deserve to be replaced in Pokemon, neither did Rachel Lillis, Eric Stuart, or any of the rest that didn't quit before then!
I really wish he continues w em instead of being a temporary character... See ik after xyz things have gotten boring with the making him look even more younger plus galar was so much of a dissapointment but I really wanna see him but w a mature look
I do hope Ash and his Friends aswell returns some day cause 3 reasons... 1) It may be the final chapter for Ash with his Pikachu as Main protagonist, but it doesn't mean they are gone forever & also doesn't mean they won't come back forever. So they might return as support characters in this Horizons series. 2) Liko, Roy & Dot with Rising Volt Tacklers would meet Ash & his Friends aswell, just like Goh & Chloe did in Journeys Series, when they met each of Ash's Friends and Liko & Friends would learn things from Ash like finding your own dreams & goals and also learn to never give up till it's over. 3) Since Liko & Friends gets their own Terastal at Naranja Academy, Ash would visit Paldea and get his own Terastal too and also would meet Nemona & Geeta and battles with them.
Tbh it will only make sense if ash did come back bc since Liko and Roy are wanting to be the best trainers of the world they are going to have to battle ash. That’s my guess
Yeah but that is no indication at all that ash will come back and it’s all about the Japanese VA. Also it’s pretty clear they have no plans to bring ash back anytime soon or at all, definitely if the Japanese VA won’t or can’t come back. Then there is the fact the Japan twitter account did nothing for ash anniversary of leaving the anime and we are not getting a movie this year again or even a short so it seems they are fully focused on HZ anime nothing else.
@@eljordinio7647 Just some people see that and thinks it means ash has a chance of coming back when the English VA means nothing on if ash comes back or not that is all. Also now that we know for sure we are not getting a movie this year people are going to be desperate for any little thing of him coming back in the anime. They should watch HZ because they like HZ not because they are waiting around for ash to come back.
