I have been so honored these last few days starting on May 30, 2024 to attend her first concert in 40-plus years at the Zebulon Los Angeles music venue! It was an incredible sold-out show. Asha was in top form, a little nervous which was expected and her incredible & “ tight “ as F band she had met 3 days prior when she arrived in LA. The incredible Indian record label Naya Beat presented the historical concert tour. It started in LA and will tour the world 🌎 The highlight will be the world-famous Glastonbury festival .The amazing week of hype and several new articles of Asha’s legendary career ended with a private invite-only recording session at KRCW recording studios in Santa Monica, Ca! Asha was way more relaxed and really found here groove as she sang some of her greatest hits. This iconic song “ Flying Fish “ “ Say Yes “ & “Space Talk “ to name a few. She ended the recorded with a fabulous interview Q&A. Her sense of humor and incredible storytelling of days with Warhiol, John Hammond. Ornette Coleman were all shared. Asha even spoke about the iconic album cover of the Rolling Stones “ Sticky Fingers “. The infamous crotch shot & zipper was actually her idea and came up with the cover art she wanted to use for an album & song with a blues band she was recording with. But in typical Warhol behavior, Andy took the idea of her cover art and used it himself. Asha is an incredible woman almost 80 years now she is bringing her sultry, angelic velvet improvising vocal styling to a new generation and her O.G. Fans are over the moon to see the ultimate “ DISCO MISTIC” songstress!!
