This Ashak Recipe is going to make everyone in your house happy. Dumpling recipes can be intimidating because of the amount of time involved. Typically Ashak would involve making dough, the filling, and the sauce that goes over it.
I help you cut a few corners so that you don't get so intimidated that you don't make this Ashak recipe. The biggest time saver is using the wonton wrappers. Typically Ashak has a leek filling with a meat sauce on top. In this recipe, we use a lentil vegetarian sauce.

Thank you for making a vegetarian version of this recipe! You started to talk about where you got the yellow lentils but didn’t finish and didn’t explain in your notes. Could you please elaborate on the yellow lentils. Also, how many dumplings does this recipe make?

Looks very nice, looks similar to what my mil makes. She makes the dough from scratch and it looks super intimidating to do.. I might try it this way and surprise my husband 😍💕
