I like Ashanti and even though she is not the best singer, I always will support her as a classy, beautiful, and a business woman. The national anthem song was not for her vocally. My honest opinion.
Ashanti can blow but she does not have a really powerful singing voice. People say she cant sing because of that and because of the fact she cant hit really high notes in most cases, but they could not be more WRONG!!! Ashanti is very talented.

I think she did fine. I don't know how y'all are saying she can't sing. She can sing but just doesn't have a big powerful voice; which is not the only type of singing voice. Y'all really need to stop expecting that.
I think she looked GORGEOUS! But the vocals were not her best in my opinion. She was VERY restricted. Even her body language seemed like she was afraid. You not really bouta SANG SANG if you standing there with your legs crossed tightly and your fist closed. Great singers ain't worried about trying to look cute the whole time. I think she could have been a little more free, she was going to look cute regardless that outfit was dope. Lil nasally which is what some singers do when we want to play it safe.

Her head voice is a bit shrill when she attempts to belt, but not a bad job at all. She has really grown vocally. And she looks better than she did when she first came out. Good job Ashanti
