... I am the ballad in the Box, the bullet in the gun, the Inner Glow that lets you know to call your brother's son. The story has just begun the promise of what's to come and I will remain a soldier until the war is won.
there should be a sequel series that shows Riley and Huey grown up and dealing with even crazier problems but the same old personality. that would be dope.
@@Esock114 - You might be able to get away with thay if he cane back as a younger ghost version. Then you could use a similar voice without it feeling like a disrespect imitation.

Asheru really opened my mind to hip hop. I listen to really old music and enjoy it, but I never loved hip hop or rap. I started watching the Boondocks and was interested in the theme. After downloading his album, listening to Soon Come and Soul for hours and hours, I was hooked. Great underrated artist.
Personally, (yes I said personally on the internet) I kinda like the intro. It's super chill for what it leads into. I like the Boondocks theme too... But there's something about how super chill it is and how it makes the song good. The song starts when it starts, not when he starts to rap. Kno wha I meen man? Kno wha I meen?
I've never liked hip hop, but these lyrics are pure poetry. I can definitely respect it. Whenever I hear popular rap music, it's just vulgar nonsense. Why don't people listen to stuff like this instead?
+Domovoi07 What you're saying about rap music is what was said about NWA in the beginning. But they rapped about what they knew. Some have had lives that have been vulgar nonsense thru series of mistakes and/or what has been thrust on them. But some rappers are just trying to be famous. Like some rockers, the lyrics are often a reflection of their society. When I hear some lyrics I remember some of the things that I have been thru and I can relate.
+Domovoi07 R.A.P stands for Rhythm And Poetry. What you hear on the television and radio is the same thing that you hear from the pop and r&b industry - money. Music comes from the soul. Money comes from what sound sells how many CD's and tickets. 360. Either inspire a generation or don't inspire anything. Musicians are supposed to challenge the foundations of society, as they have been doing for centuries. I guess, somewhere along the way, someone decided to stop caring about mankind and mislead talent into loss of identity and product placement.
There's so much soul in this music. Growing up I hated the garbage that the radio played which I mistakenly thought was rap. This is real music. This is an expression of humanity in its purest form. Hats off to the real rappers.
Andrew Winters Bell i am a huge fan of vader because of his attitudes and determination. As well as the fact that he faced his demons and turned back to the light side.
Oh shit I didn't even see the end of the show and you're like this. Can you please stop. It's annoying to me and to everyone who did not see the end. Sorry for my Inglish, I know it's a bit bad- Ok though seriously, what is the problem with you. Don't spoil this show it's a good show, man i feel tricked, despair enduced, and bamboozled
***** Kendrick is one of the best new school rappers (main stream that is) Today its all about sex, drugs and money... it has always been like that its just that it has been lifted by the media. Much like the holy Quran has predicted, sex will be a every day thing we see everywhere. Where there is sex in the media you will ofc always have money and drugs with it. People dont care much about how shitty the world is as long as they get their new iphone and can live a normal life where they involve themselves in money, sex and drugs.
I remember years ago when boondocks was still on TV I was very young but cant member the exact age. Took me 3 years to find this full exact song. Today a friend of mine reminded me of the boondocks theme song. And all I can say now after years there are several songs now and even extended versions. Pretty cool if you ask me and a memory banger right into and not out the door.
Ahem. Chance the Rapper? Vic Mensa? I think you left those two out of that list. You can't put Ab-soul or Joey in a list and not include Chance and Vic. It's just wrong.
