On an objective level MMORPGs do have some things that work better than others. There's still a lot of room for subjective preference, the art, the themes, the lighting, colors, models, a little wiggle room with skills, talents, enemies, ect. But for the most part, if you've listened to Steven talk about the game a lot, you'll understand this is a fucking SCIENCE. Very deliberate actions in regards to crafting this game as a massive multiplayer RPG experience. Some of the things he's doing is even against the grain of modern day games, fundamentals about games that have changed and never should have like consequences, risk vs. reward. This game is going to be insane. Like Narc said, that team he's got doesn't seem to be just a bunch of employees, they also seem like a bunch of people that want to make someones dream become reality. Can you blame them? Sounds like Steven Sharif was given some kind of vision from MMORPG heaven to bring to earth lmao. Sounds dramatic, but honestly too many things make me think it's the case.
Can't wait for Ashes to come out! Super excited, man. The people that don't like it, don't have to. Let them go play their cookie cutter MMO's that release terrible content and have zero risk for trash rewards. xD Or just go hype the next MMO from Korea, thinking THIS one will be different.
I feel like you coulda stopped at “don’t have to” haha. People like different things, no need to attack someone or the MMO’s they prefer. We can all coexist!
game will be released 2025 100%,alpha 2 is basicly 75% done game i mean when will be over for alpha 2,after that coming beta and release! You need to watch more about game and dont talk shit!
@@LevelUpmmo It'll be 3 years or less. TOTK polished for an entire year and that game is nearly flawless. So 2 more years on STRICTLY development? Like Vujkan said above me, the game is 75% done, 65% absolute minimum, so 2 years to get roughly 30% of the game finished, when they spent 6 years amassing a team, developing custom tools, setting up their piplines and offices to get 70% of it done. Now their team is like literally 20 times larger than when they started. Oh yea, 2 years for 30% no problem. Maybe less
i don't have any hype at all for this game so far, still waiting to see if it'll get better or not. I like the housing/farm system they were showing last week, but, i doubt every player will be able to have a whole farm. Another thing: this game is WAY too expensive.
It's not expensive compared to development time and craftsmanship that's gone into the game. Most people who play MMOs don't have a problem with a box cost and a sub fee as long as the game is good and that it doesn't have predatory microtransactions and P2W
Yeah, the freehold system will be limited to a certain number of slots. So each time they become available, you'll have to try to claim one if you want it. it's a process with a quest, bidding, etc.
@@lightsfury9096 it is. I don't see all that craftsmanship people talk about. Most of the features I've seen on their videos are the same from other mmo. I've been playing mmo for 20 years. Gameplay looks boring.
Time Stamp 1:40; What player wouldn't be upset when all of their hard work and equity in the game is suddenly destroyed? This game will be a griefer's paradise! Enjoy.
Well, one person couldn't do it. From what I understand, it'd need to be a large siege that is lost by the defense OR a catastrophic regional event that the defending node was unable to survive. It makes the game more everchanging in a sense.
Just a little clarification. Alpha 2 is not years away (when asked if it is months or years out). The general thought is that is will be out early to mid next year. Alpha 2 has no NDA (you can watch it) but you have to donate at least $250 to play. How long Alpha 2 lasts is the big key to how long before release. Alpha 2 will be live until release. It will be playable at start and feature complete at end. The Betas will be short polish tests before release. They won't last long. So to be clear Alpha 2 is the big one. The game will be playable and the vast majority of time/development will happen then.
Oh for sure. I meant that it's been two years from Alpha 1 until now, meaning the Alpha 2 has taken at least two years. But hopefully all of that is correct and the game doesn't take TOOOO long.
It's been years since Alpha , in the making for alpha 2 to release, so your wrong, Alpha 2 has already been years away from being released. Name one mmo besides Scam Citizen and other mmo titles that have done this in the past and succeeded.
Sigh...all these care bears...when everyone talks about this game they always forget to follow up with how to help fight pvp, and there will be countless anti griefing guilds across many servers. You know, a whole guild devoted to killikg the asshat players. BUT instead of garnishing peoples attention for the game, this does nothing but make them immediately take ANY consideration about trying it out and dismissing it like the plauge. Thanks.
Certainly not my intent. I even mention that the game won't be really incentivizing ganking people and will have systems to punish people for doing it too much.
Ashes is a scam - anyone that invests into it will lose their money. We've not seen or had any concrete gameplay and all they post constantly are new "skins" and mounts ...
Do you really think that? After seeing the mage gameplay, the whole zones they've shown off, the team of developers they have on the livestreams, the freeholds, etc.
@@LevelUpmmo What i've seen didn't excite me - they are trying to do too much - look at Star Citizen and EFT - early access for YEAAAAARS ... because they were too ambitious.
When they told us the game was going to be focused on PVP it will be a dead game as big groups will ruin the game once more like in so many other pvp games so yeah no thanks for me anymore.
@@JohnAPrescott most people that think this game sucks or will fail have never done any research on it. lol Yet its all documented in live streams that go back years!
