This would've been sweet if it was released 10 years ago, by todays standards it's hard to see what we're waiting for anymore. These projects just stay in the ether drip feeding us their innovative systems etc. but by the time you get them, there's nothing you haven't done already in older games or the 'new' ideas are trivial and lose their appeal after 10 minutes, then you've just got another forgettable mmo..
@@Sol-kv6gj I'm hanging out for VR to reach that level, i'm worried i'll be a feeble old man when we finally get it. It's unlikely that anything could really match peak mid 0's WoW in terms of gaming significance, but they can still make games fun now, the reason they're not fun is because everyone is still just making different versions of WoW with a fraction of the content. Guild wars 1 was better than it's successor imo because of the skill/class system and the integrity of the world they created, which they defiled in GW2 with all the pay-to-skin gear and the watered down combat system, and after you've completed your daily quests the incentive to continue is nill. Now it's just a place for weebs to hang out and flex their muffin shields and balloon swords that they spent 3 months crafting with daily rewards.
Honestly been going through that with so many games in our current days, I did do alot of prep for New World tests and release, and went pretty hard for like 4 months. Since then though, I log into games almost wondering why I booted up the game. Thinking in the back of my mind, I don't really want to play this... and then AltF4. Kinda Frustrating but i'm sure other people think similarly
It does feel like it, mainly because that style and type of game was just so unfamiliar. Atleast for me it was, I know other people say that about EQ and other games before wow. But I do agree WoW high times prob wont be matched until SAO type game releases. AI and VR seem pretty crazy interesting already though.
