Gods...right in my old backyard, Ashford, Maidstone, Paddock Wood way... Good days, very good days... NSE - Gone but not forgotten Thanks for your vids...some of the best on youtube!
Great video, 5* reminds me of when I was a kid at Ashford. Used to get the train up to London and remeber the sound that the slam doors made. It was lovely. NSE livery is the best livery since the SE&CR livery in 1900!
hey great video! i don't suppose you have anything of the chatham main line do you, prefebly selling/canterbury east? just thought i would ask... -Charles
Nice! I like your archive videos. Especially with NSE trains in them, it's a shame that these trains aren't in use anymore, and if they are then they aren't in NSE livery. NSE has the best livery in terms of colour. BR Blue/Grey was good too though. Do you happen to have anything around Stevenage/Hertford/Broxbourne? Those would be good to see in NSE days
It wasn’t great working on those platforms while they built the International Station around us, But I had some very good friends on these platforms back then.
sorry i havent,i only ever got round that way when they did the nse dayranger ticket.i have some video of hollingbourne stn.many thanks for the comment
seems like yesterday i ventured out on a saturday in my early teens for train rides to the mid hants railway and lots of other places on the NSE area, the fares were quite affordable to, i'm sorry but the trains we have now are just a boring load of shit you can't even put your head out of a window now, the sounds all trains seemed to make back then was music to the ears, sounds you can no longer hear due to them welding all the track together.
