I owed $600+ additional in federal taxes on last year’s taxes for the first time ever (due to a $500 cash prize I won and the addition of social security starting partway through the year). I was given 6 months to pay it at 10% interest. I received monthly letters reminding me of the penalties if I did not pay it on time. $600.
