@@aso375 Not right. It's a known psychological fact that abused victims often develop self harming/sabotage tendencies and return to their abusers. This is because after a certain time they get dependent on them like a coping mechanism. This is how addiction (an illness) works and why criminals often fall back into crime even if they know it's bad for them. People like her need professional help and support system to get out of it. It's not so black and white.

The only person relatable, you won't shoot lasers from your eys or murder superheros, but what Ashely experienced is something everyone has/had experienced at some point in their life, no matter if you are working in a fictional company Vought or the real one like Amazon, that stress she had is the most realistic thing through the show.

She knows she’s covering up murders and r***, she knows she’s lying to the public, she’s aware of what she’s doing. Yes, she would probably be killed by Homelander if she tried to leave. Doesn’t change the fact that she’s actively perpetuating Voughts crimes against humanity and deception of the American public

For as much of a pill of a human being that Ashley can be, I want her to do well for herself. Leave Vought, take a year long vacation in the Caribbean and become the agent for an indie film studio. She could take them to the next level with her marketing knowledge and the stress would allow her to become a much more calm, collected and pleasant person. She'd do incredibly well for herself and I'd call it a good move on the showrunner's part.

When I first saw Colby Minifie in Fear the Walking Dead I thought she had a spark that was going to waste on the show. She plays the Ashley character perfectly in the scenes where she’s being sarcastic as hell and putting the supes in their places when they mess up in the most condescending manners possible while still being in the right.

There are times when you can feel bad for Ashley, but in reality, she's one of the rare characters where I really don't know what to think about.
