About the uncohesiveness of the album. Ashnikko did explain that the character that we're following "Aster" those songs with the sexual and explicit content, those are when Aster has a flashback to a better time before the Weedkiller took over. With Super Soaker being Aster walking back to the forest where she grew up, now nearly destroyed, she finds a fairy circle, where the queen of it starts dancing with her, putting her in a sexual trance. And Don't look at it probably continueing with that. While Moonlight Magic and Miss Nectarine is focused on Aster's girlfriend back then. And chokehold cherry python is what I think when Aster is back to reality with herself, now full of rage after being reminded of all she lost, she continues the hunt for the Weedkiller, and the Song weedkiller is when she finally defeats it in a final battle. And the rest of the tracks are a celebration of killing it, Want It All is her basically saying she wants to experience whatever life has to offer now that she defeated it. And Possesion of a Weapon I'm sure, in my head is Aster now realizing, every machine is scared of her now having defeated the Weedkiller. And ashnikko explained with Dying Star being Aster escaping her home planet in hopes of a better home. Ashnikko did explain that this album is only a piece of the story, as the music videos dive a bit deeper into the story that is in Weedkiller, so there's a lot of visual story telling. She did say she plans to release a graphic novel in the future, along with a side story comic in the World of Weedkiller that she did with D.C that's available that could bring the story to a more cohesive close.

I LIVE for metal ash. So it was really cool to see a nonmetal softer person become open to it through her art. Just wait!! Your song with come!

I viewed Cheerleader as a flashback in the sense of story. How innocence can be taking from you is how I view the whole album if that makes sense. Edit: I actually think this whole album is 'But I'm a Cheerleader' had a baby with 'Suckerpunch' and honestly that makes sense if you've seen those two movies. Miss Nectarine is giving 'But I'm a Cheerleader' and the rest of the album is giving Suckerpunch.

dying star made me bawl it's beautiful

I love this whole album but my top 5 are 1. Dying Star -this one almost made me cry the first time I heard it 2. Moonlight Magic -An absolute dance bop 3. Worms -just amazing 4. Possession of a Weapon -Love the part where it just has the music, it adds so much to an already great song 5. Cheerleader -also love where it just has the music I'm so glad I discovered her, I am so obsessed with the album right now. and I am SO PROUD she will be the first concert I ever gone to!!!

A few things: 1) I have also been wondering what the hell "body like a swordfish" means; 2) I also heard "Bulbasaur" and didn't even realize until now it wasn't; 3) I think it's the Phrygian dominant scale being used frequently throughout; 4) I don't actually think it's the lack of hookiness that makes them feel they're missing something. I think it's the lack of repetitiveness of the hooky bits and the length of the song. A lot of them fall less than 2:30 and only repeat the chorus twice throughout the whole song, which I think is intentionally done to give the listener the sense that the song wasn't finished, which makes them feel the desire to immediately listen to it again.

Miss nectarine is literally a carbon copy of my childhood and I didn’t know I had so much gay trauma until I heard that song. It has me in tears almost every time.

On my initial listen, my top 5 favourites was "Dying Star", "Cheerleader", "Worms", "Miss Nectarine", & "Possessions of a Weapon". The only two song that I didn't like were "You Make Me Sick!" & "Want It All", this was very solid for a debut album in my opinion & I'm so excited about the comics she's releasing.

Banger Album to end the summer. From my Fav song Super Soaker and till the end of the album is perfection. Great to get turned up. My least fav are the singles worms or you make me sick. I prefer this to her first album that was more mainstream which is not my thing

I think the character that Ashnikko is representing is a fairy character who is getting revenge on these robots and AI people because they distorted their fairy village and pulled out their wings so this album is a mixture of witch craft, future end of the world, and fairy vibes so that is why there are a lot different tones in the songs.
