In this video, we have prepared and explained the preparation process of Moongdal halwa Ashoka halwa asoka halwa
Cook and mash 1cup moongdal
Add 1spoon ghee in a pan and roast cashews and take apart.
In the same pan, add one spoon wheat flour and saute for 1min until colour changes.
Then add the cooked moongdal and stir and cook for 5mins.
In 5mins, the mixture thickens and keep cooking for another 10 mins.
At this stage, add 1 1/4cups of sugar and let it dissolve.
This mixture thickens and at this stage add 1/2 cups of ghee gradually.
The mixture thickens further and after 20 mins of cooking, add the cashews.
Now the ashoka halwa starts to roll and ready to serve.
