#NatGeoIndia I saw many 'It happens only in India' documentry series. I love these short documentaries from every corner of India. Just one suggestion, please show the place on map of India. Some graphical representation would give an Idea to audience where is it exactly located.

What’s the exact meaning of Gondola ? Because when I visited Srinagar the owner of my homestay told about this but I was little confused with the Venice boats and the Cable cars here ! Is the word Gondola in general means a ‘ride’ or an activity which involves ‘ferrying’ people from one point to another ?? (Be it a boat or through rope cars)
This is borrowed from Italian word Gondola. In Venice it is known for a boat. Other meaning is A Hanging Platform for transporting people. Gondola is also common word in shipping yards. It is one of hanging platform where cargo placed to transport from Ship to Yard. Gondola also common in commercial buildings like hotels or corporate offices. You may see a hanging cart where glass cleaning workers use to stands also called Gandola.
State / Central government / private organisations need to establish specialised helicopter bourne rescue teams for such places. Indian military is not enough for large scale tourism mishaps.
I was charged 4500 Rupees while booking Gandola online for my family , but I didn't get tickets. Even sent them number of emails after that.. but no money back 😠 Be careful while booking online... You maybe cheated 🙏
