It's a continuation of Asia so he can continue his legacy with the band that he was in but only with different players keep in mind he was in Asia a lot longer than the original members combined he went on to release some more albums with Asia longer than the original members that's why he's allowed to continue his legacy because he has to make his living too he has to eat just like everybody else the only difference is he cannot perform any of the new material only the first three albums that contain the original members and his his music when he was in Asia with Jeff downs and Carl Palmer and some other players back in the 90s on albums like aqua Aurora Arena a whole host of others
If you don't like John Payne's voice why are you listening to it at first I didn't like John Payne's voice either when he screams but it took some time to get used to but that's who he is trying to find his voice and get comfortable with what he does every other singer does as well everybody likes John wetton and some others like John Payne each to his own
The original version is fantastic I'll give you that but you have to give John Payne a chance because he does really good on some of the songs keep in mind he may have a good day you might have a bad day that's what singers go through and they're still trying to find their voice trying to get their footing but don't be so quick to put him down you know maybe it's because the sound systems not that clear but I've grown to love John paying because he does sound fantastic but I do loved the original and I own the original albums as well give John Payne a chance don't be so quick to put him down

@Jeremy Spade I thought the Geoff Downes version of Asia had permanently disbanded after John Wetton's passing. Have they put out any new music? Why isn't guitarist Sam Coulson still involved in the project?
