Any advice on where to hunt in Korea? I’m heading there in March and the MK BiB 17 is a bottle I have been after for a while.

@@beamanch Hey Christopher! Best place to visit (if you're in the Seoul area) is going to be "Bottle Bunker" or "보틀벙커" at Seoul Station or Lotte World area. They have some great bottles and had many Master's Keep when I was there in November at decent prices. If you have friend or family member there that live there and can order online, best place would be online at "CU Bar". They have the best selection, but like any online store, inventory sells out quickly. Good luck in March and I hope you get the bottle you want! Cheers~

I had some luck over the Summer and picked up a Blanton's SFTB in Madrid for $200. No luck in Mexico City though in November.

Hey DBTdad! Yes, it seems they are loyal to the Japanese market (and by extension, Korea) as they were able to sell a lot of whiskey to them during the bourbon depression in the 70's and 80's. As I go every year, hopefully that trend continues and I will be able to get some nice bottles while I'm there! Thanks for always viewing and commenting on my videos! Don't be jealous! There is always a time cost to this and I spend a lot of time hunting and searching for these wonderful whiskeys! But there are plenty of great whiskeys you don't need to hunt for and you'll enjoy! Of course, I enjoy the hunt and I have a lot of fun, even if I don't find anything I like. Hey Dana! It was a great month and the 3 weeks of "relaxation" in Korea just made it even better, oh and the whiskey was good, LOL. The Lineage was hard to pass up, but I had heard they were cheaper on the way back into the US (in duty free South Korea), but I was not able to find one there. I was looking for the Rare Breed Non-Chill filtered version, but did not see that either. Oh well, I will count my blessing with the bottles I was able to find. Hey Mike! The OF Birthday Bourbon was just random luck and a little good fortune of having my own office to be isolated so I had the opportunity to get it. Most likely it'll be a gift to a special person on their birthday as I don't know if I deserve something that special. I'll be happy with a pour with that person on that special day. I'm not following your question but if I have it correctly, I use K&L Wines mostly to try to get good deals and some allocated bottles as they update their site regularly. If you mean what sites I use to pick what bottles I'm going to buy, I use Distiller for reviews and Wine Searcher for prices. Those seem like the best "national" sites, but I also double check through Google search. Thank you so much for your view and comment! Hey Jesus! That Hardin's Creek Frankfort is a great find! From the reviews I have seen, they say the Frankfort is the best of the three (some say Clermont, very little say Boston). Maybe we can do an exchange with a sample of my Batch 7 if you don't have that one. The Baker's 13 seems to be very polarizing as I seen people who love it and not love it as much. I totally agree on the crazy turkey prices. At least RR 13 is still kind of reasonable. I definitely need to make a trip to Korea soon! My brother is adopted from Korea and we’ve always wanted to go back. Guess WT Masters keep is just another reason to! Cheers

Angel's Envy has some pretty bottles and good designs & ideas, but the whiskey just doesn't live up to the price. Hopefully the prices on it will come down so it'll be worth a buy!

@@MichaelBortner-qk4zl 😂 So True! Only good thing is I did some research and budget planning about 6 months before I started the RU-vid channel, doing research on the estimated costs of the whiskeys. I'm still over it by a little bit, but I have cut back on other expenses (eating out, clothes, shoes, etc.). It's been a fun ride and I hope it keeps going for a while, but we'll see how patient my wife is with all the "cut backs" 😅.
