This video is very touching to me. Having been blessed to live in Japan, Korea and the Philippines in my life. Finding out so much about Asian culture is amazing. Now when I found out part of my DNA ancestry is South East Asian which I learnt recently, that really surprise me. I really thank the countries I lived in Asia that open my mind and heart too. Very sorry that the discrimination that Asians have are not taught as much as other groups are. That is why having the internet is so important. Very informative. I would say that @ 2:26 Most Cambodians immigrated to the U.S. after 1979. 1975 was the start of the genocide in Cambodia.

1975 Cambodian, Laos, Hmong, and *******"Mien"******* people immigrate to U.S as Vietnam War ends.

Who ever put this together, put it together looking through today's lens. Hmong, Mien, Khmu, Tai Dam and whatever other Laotian ethnic group that wasn't Lao was also labeled as Laotians refugees back then. Even the Chinese and Vietnamese from Laos came to America as Laotian refugees. Laotian is all people that have roots and ties and came from Laos, Thai Issan people of Northeastern Thailand , they are Lao but they are not Laotians, because they are not from Laos. They are Thai of Lao ethnic in Thailand. You would be a Laotian of Mien ethnic or Mien from Laos and not Mien from China or Thailand. The recent Burmese refugees are Karen people but they still from Burma.. see where I'm going this? Mien people isn't even that much outside of Oakland and Sacramento for Mien to stand by themselves and you still have to claim a nation of origin, which is still Laos. The Hmong they have the numbers to separate themselves from the rest of Laotian people but they start to confuse people because of national origin which they still come from Laos.. You are Hmong and you come from Laos but your not Laotian? 🤔 we're American of Asian descent (people that come the continent of Asia) we're American but we're not white. American=nationally=all people from USA Laotian=nationality=all people from Laos Lao= ethnic group Mien= ethnic group Hmong=ethnic group

The more you people talk about the different type of people and different races the more you create separation in this country. This Country The United States of America is nobody's land. When you die and they die who cares the land belongs to the Lord God the Creator of Heaven and Earth. You created you own destruction and instead of going and repent from the Creator for your sins you go and ask the very people for peace? Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other god's before me, "saith the Lord"... Maybe you dont understand that but for all intensive purposes you learn from the Lord and lean on the Lord for understanding. You and the rest of the world are creating a problem call RACISM. Easier for man and woman to say RACISM then to search what the problem really is!!!! So do the World a favor and seek understanding from the Creator and not yours..
