@@strawberryoatmeal306 Maybe the person who commented that thing was pointing about these women aren't scared to show their natural face in front of everyone instead of wearing heavy makeup all the time just to cover your natural looks and since a lot of women had been dealing with insecurities so it maybe the reason why they cover up with the makeup looks, so the original comment doesn't sounds rude at all

Please remember that the trend is about exaggerating the “ugly” before with fake spots or hair or whatever. The after is HEAVILY filtered with airbrushing and jaw sharpening. TBH no Chinese person I know IRL sticks rolled up tissues up their nose to change the shape. It’s all just for the fun of the trend to showcase extremes
Tbh they're artists. Imagine knowing how to use colors to compliment your face and all of that! They're cute without makeup too, they don't even need it.
These women are totally talented @ an unbelievable level of cosmetic makeup artistry. Keyword👉 artistry! They should be respected for their talents and inner beauty as well.

If u aren’t naturally good looking, they would expect u to put on some make up. At least to have ur skin look clean and well take cared when meeting people.

(The meaning behind both English and Korean names r just too different.) After 50+ episodes it's basically all about: "i'M pReTtY aNd tHaT's wHy eVerYOnE LovEs Me! ANd iF yoU aRe uGly I dOn'T LikE yOu. UwU" And Jugyeong (FL) is just so dumb and hypocritical, she used to get bullied for being "ugly" yet when she got "pretty" herself she started discriminating people for there looks. The webtoon by the original author is a mess, I truly hope the drama don't go the same way. ಠ◡ಠ

I think it’s to shape their nose to look smaller. I think it works by the strands are sticky so it sticks the two side of the nostrils together thus making it look smaller. Does that make sense? Sorry I’m not well at explaining things :P

@@bzuku9554 to attract a guy of their own natural beauty i don't think girls need make up but they gave very High standard so i think they need makeup for attention or someone else.
For anyone else curious, they're using these things called "V Shape Face Labels" or a similar lift tape on their chins. And the nose stuffing can be various things, most women use pegs instead of the tissues/strings. And some women use wax on the outside of the nose.
@@marinesvicioso4932 I believe it's a bit of a beauty trend in China to reshape the nose. I've seen articles speculating on why it's done, like anything else, some people may just like the look, but many articles I've seen say it can be due to everything from the beauty standards in their ad campaigns, to European beauty ideals, anime, etc. I suppose it depends on the individual why they choose to do it. Most beauty standards and ideals are rather up for debate.

Oh it’s to make oriental people’s noses seem bigger like more Caucasian and to make nostrils appear bigger I think they use everything from latex to cotton balls
