India is yet to win the Miss International crown. To be considered a powerhouse..a country should have won/completed the Big4 pageant(MU+MW+MI+ME). Only 5 countries managed to achieved that (Brazil, Venezuela, Philippines, Puerto Rico and USA)

MissULover No should care about comm skills, especially those who can barely speak English. Pia Wutzbach is not Fluent in English and she could have lost in her local pageant to some ugly girl from Canada or New Zealand who will go to Manila because they cant find a job in their home country. But Pia Wutzbach has great Comms Skills! Yes, someone who is not Fluent in English can still have better comm skills than a Bimbo from Caucasian countries. But Filipinos do not know what a bimbo is. Steffi Rose Aberasturi was wasted because morons who cant speak English thought she needs more training. The Excessive Comms Skills training destroyed Steffi Rose like it destroyed Gazini and Maxene. It also made Rabiya annoying and exhausting. Even the last girl,m sent was also over trained.

@@missulover4727 Some of their candidates has a great communication skills ,it is just happened that some beauty pageants has a SASH FACTOR, which they only focusing on the powerhouses such as Philippines, India, Venezuela, USA, Puerto Rico , Brazil, Colombia and etc.

Yeah some countries should also improve their candidates, like Miss Singapore, Paraguay, etc. I'm excited also to see other countries that rarely made into the semifinals, just like the 70th edition there are lots of surprises and dark horse candidates

But in reality or since Miss Universe came out, Japan and Philippines first introduced asian powers and winners next is Thailand and in year 2000 India started but in 2010's- present Philippines dominates again.

@@imeldarose6068 india didn't start in 2000, it was already nearing the end of a streak of 11 consecutive placements by that time, which started in the 90's. It was the longest streak for any country in the Eastern hemisphere until Philippines broke it recently.

We're not much of a sash factor, I believe. Another thing is that we also had potential to make it to semis, but we were outclassed by others that time. I actually liked Nina Alagao's prelims in Miss Universe 2000, same goes to Carla Balingit in 2003, Zorayda Andam in 2001, Karen Agustin in 2002, Anna Licaros in 2007, and Bianca Manalo in 2009.

Because Stella made a Deal to send a Girl who can speak English fluently and then they will put that girl in the Top 5. Venus had no potential to give a great answer, so Stella tried to Dethrone her. Miriam Quiambao lend Venus Raj her Earings as a symbol of something! They are making a statement. Remember this! Miriam Quiambao only won Bb. Pilipinas World. But the Girl, it was probably Sovietskaya Bacud who won, was DETHRONED. So Miriam knows something. Miriam was then send to Colombia to train for the win! She clamped up in the last minute.
