Went to store & tried both. Asics hands down. Amazing comfort with "lightweight feel" & good stability. Nikes were also super comfortable, but with the prototypical clunkiness of a max cush shoe.
@@AubreyRunning Ha, that's how it felt to me. Just discovered your channel, keep up the good work. Would love to see a vid with your top go to running shoes!
Went to store and tried both. Nike hands down. Amazing comfort with 'lightweight feel' and good stability. Asics were rubbish. Thanks for your 'opinion' Piolin.
I really like the Nimbus 25, so much so i grabbed a second pair. Decided to go with this shoe after watching videos from yourself and the others you mentioned. I have so many Nike products, but wanted to give another brand a shot. The Nimbus 25 is my first max cushion shoe and it’s perfect for the type of runner I am as I mostly do slow paced runs due to my asthma. Cushioned yet firm enough that i don’t feel like my foot is hitting the ground. A little bonus note for anyone trying to save $ on the shoe, sign up for an account with ASICS and get 10% off your purchase.
Brother this shoe is extremely praised and even then it’s underrated. I have a new shoe that may give it a run for it’s money and that’s the On Running Cloud Surfer. Let’s see how it competes.
Very interesting contest as my three favorites are: Gel Nimbus 25, Invincible 2 (3 is same thing underneath but with the exception of the problematic heel grip), and Hoka Clifton.
Great list and I realise that the HOKA brand hasn’t received much attention from me. I will have to get a little closer to them. I love the Clifton nine
Let me know how they feel when you try them out. Thank you so much for the great feedback.. truly appreciate it. It’s this kind of feedback that makes it an even more enjoyable experience.
Yeah the Invincible V3 doesn't even seem like the same shoe any more, though I do still like it very much indeed... the 2 previous versions are up there among my all-time favourite ever shoes, plus they really really lasted extremely well too! I recently picked up another V2 for €90, which I think is a much better idea than paying €180 for the V3.
It’s crazy when you think about it because when the shoes come out the manufacturers market them as the best shoes ever! They don’t stop being that simply because there is a newer version so I agree with you, it’s the perfect time to buy an older shoe when they release a newer version
Sadly they didn't last long for me. I washed my invincible run v2 the second time and the glue completly solved and tear the whole sole apart. I'm pretty disapointed because this was the first and only mesh-upper sneaker in 15 years from probably 20 sneakers that was destoryed in the washing mashine. Maybe it was just bad luck.
@@DerHalbeEuro 😧🤦🏻♀Ohhh That's incredibly disappointing to say the least!! Did you use hot water in the machine?? 'Cause I learned a while ago to only ever wash my running shoes by hand, I use a nail brush with only slightly warm water, as otherwise yes the glue can dissolve ! In general I'm not a Nike fan at all, for both humanitarian and quality issues, though I did make an exception for the Invincible and the Alphafly as they suit me so perfectly!
@@bev9708Hey bev, thanks for the tips. I guess i washed the shos way too hot with 60° i guess that's why it broke. I usually only chose 30° and the glue always stays but 60 was defenitley too much this time. I now ordered a Gel Nimbus 25 and a New Balance Fresh Foam v4 which is insanly comfy and cushioning. Even more than the Nike Invincible.
Great video! I’ve got the nimbus 25 and had the invincible 2 before that. I really like the gel nimbus it’s super comfortable but I do miss the squishy zoomx foam. I might have to pick up the 3 as well.
Thank you I bought the Nike and it had slip once I adjusted the lockdown it was much better but I’m thinking of also getting the ASICS for harder runs thank you again
You’re welcome, my pleasure. These are essentially for your easier daily runs, there are more other suitable shoes if you’re after faster or harder runs
Good content…do you find there is enough volume in the tie box area in the Nike…the shoe seems very low/flat or streamlined in the tie box area. I’ll need to go try them on. I like the Nike styling better but as you said, that’s 100% personal preference.
@@AubreyRunning firstly thanks for answer. Secondly, I actually liked it a lot, but it was just a little boring. Does it have a structure that never stretches?
I have 2 pairs or the Asics nimbus 25, and 1 pair of Nike invincible 2 (not 3) i fount the Nikes to be more bouncy, and the nimbus 25 more stable, I enjoy both a lot, and find them so different that i can´t say which is better i find for running the nikes are what i reach more for, and for just super comfortable jogs, or walks i reach for the Nimbus 25, in my experience i have found the bottoms of the Nikes seem to wear more than the Asics, but it maybe because im a bit harsher on the Nikes. I subd, great reviews.
Stumbled upon this vid, and just wanted to say great vid! Great humility to reference youtubers who've come before, but have to say your production quality (studio set up, b-roll, edits) puts most of those you've listed to shame! Love the nuance you go into around heel tabs, laces, etc. and see in the comments you've been quite responsive clarifying questions around toe boxes and sizing. Would love to see you incorporate that into your future vids to help out us fellow average runners!
I honestly appreciate feedback like this that also recommends how I can make the videos better. If you ever have any thoughts and ideas and even topics to create videos about please don’t hesitate to send them my way. Thank you the detailed feedback and encouraging compliments as well. I assure you that I will be making my future videos much more explanatory and considerate of the average runner like myself. Sincerely, thank you
Greetings if it's ok to ask do you own both ? Cause I have only worned and worked with the nikes invincible 2 ,, in your opinion which will give me the most cushioned and springyness between these 2 shoes, thanks .
I will lose my mind because of the youtuber reviews, every day I get a new review of the shoe that I will buy for my daily workout, I own Asics Magic Speed 3, good for quick workouts, but too bad for warming up and running medium and long distances, so I decided to buy another shoe for warming up and daily workouts
I have been watching all the comparison videos and i work as supervisor at a supermarket and i have to stand for 9 hours and travel for 4 hours (going and coming both included), i have been getting my foot pain recently because of that, i really need help to select one, please do suggest
Nike isn’t the best when it comes to catering to wide feet to be honest. But I also have to admit I haven’t put in effort to look. I’d recommend looking into Altra. They are great for such shoes especially now that they have the Altra FWD experience
Hey Aubrey! I have been watchin your videos for the last 3-4 weeks, what an amazing job. Congratulations, i can see the dedication and passion you put on those videos.
I'm returning my Invencible 3 tomorrow due to the heel slippage and the blisters that it gave me. Some were saying "it will get better after wearing for same-days, it will get your foot's shape". Nope, it didn't. Ran 20k on it and used for 2 whole days and still the same problems. I will try the nimbus 25.
I assure you that the nimbus won’t give you such issues. That’s really bad about the invincible 3 because I thought it was just me and heard that it wasn’t from so many people and reviews. All the best with it all.
I'm commenting coz you added good clips of the shoes where i get the view of the shoes perfectly (I'm buying online so view in the video matter for me) 🙂
I'm 110kg, 1.85m. My daily running shoe ís a Níke Pegasus 40. My problem was after 12km I didn't want to be in the Pegasus 40 anymore. I wanted a plush, cruiser shoe to do 15km to 20km comfortably. I bought the Nike Invincible 3 but found it mediocre for the high asking price. After 5km I wanted to go home. I owned an Asics Nimbus 24 and that felt better. I'm returning the invincible 3.
@@AubreyRunning I'm actually considering the Níke Vomero 17, Asics Novablast 4 and the Adidas Supernova Rise.Thank you for your feedback and keep up the great work.
Do you find they both fit true to size? I’m usually a size 9 in adidas ultraboosts but a friend offered me the ASICS nimbus 25’s for $60. Problem is they’re a half size up at 9.5
Thanks for your review. I have been wearing Nimbus for 10 years. I got Nimbus Platinum. My foot hurt so badly after 10 mins of running (tried both road running and treadmill). I can barely walk. I don't know whats wrong. I can not return it. So I got a pair of Invicible 3 . Lets see how it works for me. Never wear a Nike running shoe .
Love this! It’s a fair question. Without focusing on the fact that it’s an American brand, we also wonder how you guys pronounce it Nike-ee 😂😂😂. I guess we should really follow the American pronunciation but somehow don’t. It’s like Adidas. 😂😂😂😂. Actually, come to think of it… how come you had to write extra EEs in your pronunciation 😂😂😂
I never found any Nike Invincible 3 in my size for under 200€ here in Germany which is way to expensive for a running shoe that i will replace in 2-3 years I will give Asics a chance, have never bought one but 139€ for the Gel Nimbus 25 is a fair deal and i think you pay for the quality here not for the marketing or athlete sponsoring when buying Nike products
Love your videos❤ I wanted to buy the Nike Invincible RunV3 but couldn’t get a lock down despite using the runner’s loop. Many people seem to have heel slippage in the Invincible3. I love the Nimbus25, got 2 colorways now☺️. They are not too soft, not too firm and there’s some energy return as well. I wish the next version would be a little more breathable though (I live in Bangkok, Thailand🔥). By the way, I also follow Kofuzi/The Run Testers/Runlikeheller. I like the good vibes in your videos👍🏻
@@AubreyRunning Eyyy, looking forward to your review sir! Just started my running journey and I recently ordered Nimbus 26s as my first shoes and gonna be my daily trainer, I hope it's a good shoes when it arrived.
If you have knee pain, make sure to research high-cushioned shoes cause more knee pain before buying. I've only worn this shoe twice since I bought it. it put more impact and stress on my knees and it hurt
@@AubreyRunning I don't get those issues in other shoes oddly. I like you also suffer with severe shin splints so I'm forever trying to find the "perfect" shoe for me but I can tell you it's very expensive 🤣 I think I'm going to sell the Nimbus and either take a punt on the Nike OR I might even have a look at the Saucony triumph 20. I use the Asics Glideride 3's a lot and they seem to work well for those long slow runs, anything quick and I'm either in my alphafly v1 or endorphin pro 3's
Hey man, just came across your channel through this video. You’ve said you have 700 subs at the time of recording but look at you now. Happy to see. You seem like an honest man. Wish you good luck
I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have the kind of support that I have been shown. This community has been amazing. I’m sincerely grateful for it all.
Hi Aubrey. I don't run but I do rope jumping for my cardio training. I've been eyeing the Nike Invincible 3 a lot because I only jump up and down with the balls of my feet so I don't think the heel slippage will bother me much. I'm also very impressed by the softness and bounciness of the shoes. But then there're a lot of comparisons between Invincible 3 and Gel Nimbus 25. I'm getting confused now. From your experience, which of them is the better choice for my specific needs (soft and bouncy for jumping up and down)?
@@AubreyRunning To be honest not really. constant arch pain and rolled my ankle a couple of times. Was not stable for me. They also came up a half size too big, had to un-retire my beat up Nike Epic React Flyknit. They are so good.
I would always suggest this kind of shoes but always get the versions before. They will be cheaper and you won’t need the upgrades if it’s for standing and walking around
I've got the Nimbus 25. I've only got a total of 15 miles in them so far done over 2 runs, but man every time I've run in them my legs feel terrible. My knee's feel like they've taken a beating lol I was thinking of selling the Nimbus and buying the Invincibles but my worry is with that Nike upper. Heard lots of horror stories regarding heel slippage 😫
@@AubreyRunning Dunno it just looks massive 🤔 I'm using the asics Glideride 3's for a lot of my easy runs at the moment and they are fantastic which is another reason I'm so far really disappointed with the Nimbus 25 😫
@@arieljamescepada3509 i ordered the invincible run 3s, i tried them out for 2 days, returned them today. They were very bouncy, but idk why, my legs would still hurt at the end of the day, and walking feels very weird in them
@@arieljamescepada3509 without a single doubt my recommended shoe right now is the Gel Nimbus 25, but from the shoes you e listed… I’d go with the Invincible 3
Not necessarily squishy but a slapping sound when running which is louder than most of my my shoes. But that’s expected I guess and I don’t mind it neither as I run with headphones on.
