Asics Superblast 2 vs Adidas Prime X 2.0 Strung: Best fast max-stack super trainers compared 

Love my prime x, but just preordered a super blast , I believe they both have a place , especially for heavier runners (215 lbs )!

hopefully they drop this white colorway of superblast 2 in the us soon. so clean!

I’m a big fan of the Prime X2

Prime X strung original is still my favourite. Just fit me perfectly and was so bouncy and fun. I still have an extra pair in the box for when my current ones run out or tread. I have the x2 as well can’t get a good fit in them, lacing is awful. Such a stiff shoe I get major heel slippage.

PrimeX 2 is just not like anything else. So fun

I have not run in the Superblast. But Prime X2 is my favourite of all. It’s so fun. I don’t feel the weight at all. Great review nonetheless.

I've stopped using the Prime X....I get pain under my foot after runs because it's so stiff due to the double plates.....I can now appreciate more the other plated shoes that aren't as stiff...

Sold my Prime X Strung V.1, didn't work for me, felt weirdly unstable although were quick. I love my Superblast V.1 so, for me, would be Superblast V.2 , if either!

Early, great review as always

For me they do a different job. Superblast suit long runs where you just want to get the miles in. Prime x really wants to go faster but when you get tired really does help you in those last miles of really long marathon training runs.

Cheers for the review. Could you please do a 'versus' of the Superblast vs Celo X1 vs Prime X Strung. I have the Prime X and would like to know how the other two compare. Which is the best super trainer?

Love the colour of my version 1 superblast but do feel they are massively over hyped, they can beat up the feet which is weird as they feel to fit perfectly with plenty of room. I think the marketing and lack of supply kept the eagerness for people to seek them out. Strung 2 are great fun 🤩

Wish that the Prime X2 didn’t give me consistent blisters (put in over 50 miles, so it isn’t a break in issue) Selling mine to exchange my cash for the superblast as V1 was great and I regretted selling them after 250 miles, still had a ton of life in them.

For my firtst marathon, which one between adidas and alphafly 3 ? Please help me 😉

Prime X Strung 2 vs Mizuno Neo Vista?

Going from PXS v1 to PXS v2 is like going from a McMansion to a cardboard box.

My favorite shoes over the last year are Superblast and Prime X Strung 1 and 2. Funny you are doing a comparison on my favorite shoes. I 100% disagree with you guys, I absolutely by far love my Prime X 1 and 2 over the superblasts and I would pick either version of the primes over any version of the superblasts, it’s a no brainer. The prime 1 and 2 are by far and away the funnest shoes I have ever run in. I even run my 5/10k’s races in my prime 1’s. All my personal bests are in prime 1’s. They are way faster than the specific 5/10k shoes put out by Nike Streakfly and Adidas Takumi Sen 9. The superblasts and prime 2 are the best shoes for saving your legs and wear and tear on your knees, back, etc. I agree that the superblasts feel very natural on foot and you don’t notice the 44mm stack height whereas the primes you may feel like you’re walking in squishy heels but the 50mm stack doesn’t bother me a bit. A bonus is I’m only 5’8’’ and 1/4 tall and now I wear my pink superblasts wherever I go and I’m now 5’10’’ 1/2. 😂 I liked the superblasts so much I mainly trained in them with 2 pair in the past year, I wore out a pair of the pink/blue color-way and now im in the orange color-way. I also agree that you can easily go slow or pick up the pace in them. I definitely will get a pair of superblasts 2. My draw back on the prime 2 mainly is they wear out to quickly, I am starting my second pair of them as well. The prime 1’s had a good thick layer of continental rubber while the 2’s the tread is very thin and can easily be worn down to the foam.

Tough to compare these shoes. The weight difference is very different and the Pime X Strung 2 has 2 plates, and the Superblast 2 doesn't. These are 2 very different shoes

Plus better traction in the adidas

Hopefully the superblast 2 arent sweatboxes, my nimbus 26 can be.

Prime X Strung 1 is the best

Bro comparing one shoe with carbon plate and $100 more than the other is cray cray 😜

Looks like Adidas shoes are designed with narrower or more focussed purpose. Less versatility so if you had a rotation of two shoes you’d take the Superblast all day or if your keen to minimise plate use then this may sway you. If you have a five shoe rotation or are an adidas aficionado perhaps you’d go Prime X2, which to Adidas credit is wider and better balanced. Credit to Adidas if the Pro 4 is on the money they may end the year on top?!…

Adidas is far superior shoe than the superblast 2 why even compare them two.
