These are currently my daily trainers. Came from using Speed 3’s and I am in love with the Superblast, just wait till they break in a little, they get better with time.
I’ve been looking at these. Your content is so relatable so when you were reviewing this shoe I ordered them at about the halfway point of the video. May of 22 I completed a Full doing MAF at 4:45. May of this year I did the full at Buffalo 3:58(Pfitz 18/55). I did a bunch of shorter stuff before this Marathon block to get faster. I’ll be doing my speed build- 5ks, 10ks and Halfs all in Orlando now through next Spring where I’m hoping to get to about 8:00 pace for the next full in April/May of 24. I’ll just have to see where the paces are at approaching next Spring. Good luck with everything and thanks for the awesome content.
Congrats on your Superblast review. These are my favorite trainer. They are pretty responsive, confy, cushioned, versatile. Capable to do well easy, moderate and fast runs efficiently
Should add…Im at 200 miles in mine and have definite wear outsole. The Ahari(?) black part of the outsole is worn down to the level of the FF Blast and the FF Blast has lots of scuffs. Im sure the shoe can go longer but I have a 2nd pair that I just got and will start using it also
Great review. I busted my ankle running in plated shoes. Might give these a try when I’m back to run again. Great colors on that one, haven’t seen them in that color way
Ive got around 280 miles on mine now. They do get better and mine still feel great. I think what they do best is being super light and stable as well as really looking after your legs on long runs. My knees, ankles and feet feel a lot fresher than in other running shoes especially with carbon plates in.
All so true! I took mine out on a recovery run yesterday and found myself gliding at near steady pace at a recovery-level heart rate. These shoes are insane.
The Superblast is my shoe of the year. Fast rebound. Stable enough not to be a stability shoe. I was so surprised how light it is for a its stack. Yes, it tends to feel like it disappears as you run longer and longer in it. It can do so many things well. Price is justified. I know many complain about it. If I had a two shoe rotation: Superblast and MetaSpeed Series. I’ll be set for my 13.1 to 26.2 training block. I plan on buying another pair after I reach 300 miles on my first pair. Plenty of life left. You can probably push it 500-600 miles but I like having new pair of running shoes every year.
Deciding bw these and the new balance SC elite 3’s for an upcoming marathon race. These haven’t come in yet but the SC elites did and they’re sooo comfortable! But I think the super blasts will also be equally so, and they will last much longer so better value?? Great review!!
I love these for longer runs! They would definitely work for a marathon, no doubt about it. My pair has about 250 miles on them right now and they’re still feeling great 👍
I just love my Superblast, my favorite daily, and i have other Asics,Hoka and Saucony shoes but just want to run in the Superblast! Only on race days i use my Vaporfly or Saucony Pro 3.
I have some 150 miles in them. Hated the Novablast 3. Superblast is AMAZING. Getting better and better as the miles build up. Still looking new at 150 miles.
I totally agree. Many say it can do everything, but I’d say it’s best at marathon pace. I used Superblast for every long run in my last marathon block, from easy long runs, long run workouts and long tempos, and loved them!!
Glad you got so much use and enjoyment out of yours! I’m currently enjoying my pair so much that I’m almost subconsciously trying not to put too many miles on them so I can make them last as long as possible.
@@HobbyJoggerElite Same! I used Novablast 3’s for easy days and Magic speed for interval/track workouts. Superblast for me fit best at tempos and long runs at MP. I wanted to save them for more quality sessions, especially since I have Metaspeed Sky+ for races and wanted to get a feel for FF Turbo without putting too many miles in them before race day.
@@HobbyJoggerElite sounds awesome. Will buy a pair tmr 👍 too bad they are expensive and no discount in sight but who said life was supposed to be easy...
Yes...I weigh 160 pounds and I needed >50 miles before they started to break in and feel more flexible and softer. After 100 miles, they were perfect but I did not love them out of the box. Great now but until they broke in. Stick with them for at least 50 miles if you don't like them at first.
Just bought this. Took it for a 20-miler straight out of the box. Not as great as so many had claimed. The Speed 3 felt.better for now. Maybe it really needs some breaking-in miles, I don't know.
Mine felt pretty solid out of the box, but definitely not as speedy or nimble a shoe as the Speed 3. These are great for everything marathon-ish pace and slower in my training.
I can never understand the post run coffee.... surely pre run makes much more sense. to wake you up get you going to the bathroom and adding to the run
