I'm curious, does this mean native Korean speakers who are learning English and haven't yet mastered /f/, would tend to pronounce it as /p/ (like 'four' > 'pour' and 'self' > 'selp')? And a related question: How would a native Korean speaker with very little English pronunciation experience pronounce these words: the, think, south, breathe? Thanks again!

a long time ago Hangeul was better with a special letter for V sound => ㅸ So Victoria would be written ᄫᅵㄱ토리아 😎 ah it's supposed to be ㄱ under the ᄫᅵ but I cannot make it 😂
why he wrote "g" instead of "k" in vic(k)toria...as much as I know that gun kind of symbol is for g and k includes one horizontal line also....am I wrong??

I just came back from Korea, and with the sheer amount of English borrowed words there (literally 1000s I've seen), why can't Koreans just petition to introduce an "F" hangul to their system (and FF to make a V sound maybe?)? That way they can stop saying Prance, Copy, Capé, Pork, etc. lol.
(sorry for answering one year late) In Japanese, Katakana is identical to Hiragana in sound, just different in shapes, stroke order etc. Transliteration of foreign words still requires some adaptations, as such "fa" is written as "fua" because of the "fu" katakana.
