A couple of questions: 1. Do you use a ROS version. (Robot Operating System) 2. Which battery types do you use? and what is the relationship between charging and operating time? 3. Have you ever thought about operating 2-3 robots in a group / network to ensure better situational awareness? 4. What actuators / motors do you use? (I'm impressed with how accurate and fast these work.)

Is there a place for animators, or people working with virtual character animation or motion capture in Boston Dynamics for designing movements, especially to look even more human like? Do you use the technology behind 3D animation like motion capture to help create or train robot motion?

Cool to meet you Tom. Great video. We need a CHEF robot. Cooking is a science, and a robot can measure 2 teaspoons of cumin powder if the data is fed in correctly, peel and slice ginger, 1 teaspoon of salt (you get the idea) and following the recipe will get the exact consistency and same results every time. A house helper robot can serve the Seniors market and busy families. A photo of cumin powder can be fed in as data and the robot can check the color and texture to add it. Or it could learn to read labels. Or QR Codes that can be stuck on bottles for a faster route.

Spot doesn't sound very convenient especially with the setup. You should just be able to deploy it in your area, set up a gps grid, and allow it to explore the environment with something like a flood fill algorithm and then it would exactly know its environment and how to path find a way around a blocked door for instance. Also i know its an open platform with APIs where the consumer can configure it how they like, i just think its more convenient of a feature instead of spot saying: well now what do i do.

Dear Tom, never mind the number of legs that a working robot needs to have! At 70+ plus years, I need to restore the diminishing power of my muscles to shovel snow and clean the car after each storm. I picture myself looking out from a warm room inside a house and be in control of the robot(s) shoveling snow outside. The robots will come pre-programmed with a menu of different shovel handling strategies, and the ability to not throw snow on the street or on the neighbor's car. Another way to do it is by having the robot(s) duplicate every gesture that I make inside the house. by shoveling warm air, while the robots will be shoveling cold snow. The copier robot(s) will need two arms in addition to legs, wheels, or tracks.

DYNAMIC BOSTON deserves the greatest attention for their works of totally inestimable value from what can be seen today, the factory should look further towards the mass printing of their humanoids for professionals this is where the best opportunity to finance their after-sales service factories is found, after all they are alone at this level and overall champion. It is the most advanced team in the world for humanoid machines. Have they ever tried extended development to operate other non-assisted equipment, such as semi-programmed mechatronics in direct human mimetics? where the main issue is the automatic and manual direct-drive gearbox based on the same non-disconnectable CMOS pyramidal accelerometer of center of gravity, whatever the gestures, in a PREDICTIVE way of the synergies of Corrective mass opposed, so well calculated in the demonstration of this last prodigy of jumper of obstacle on two feet upright. FINALLY What will be the accuracy of self-diagnosis of the trajectory controls of the nacelles of touch sensors such as palmar of hands or feet refined to the ration of 3d in contact with the ground or out of force of gravity by tactile contact on other objects pre-load or bring in real time on shape template-image of the embedded software library. A second solution, prehensile (or lianas-beta-cam illuminated or not) contiguous to members of mimetics pushed up to 1/10 inch of tolerance before the storage of isometric pressure on a textile a self-supporting insulation, by use of carrying tools, building sites, moving another motorized device, climbing a rope, unfolding a ladder, pulling cables upright, building a ramp through a space simulator that looks at shapes to collect before pulling them attach to each other. It is a very difficult choice of implementation time, thinking that only one brand of vehicle can print it nearly several thousand a day. thank you for your whimsical video on these prodigies of robotics, sometimes it makes you wonder what the superconductors of the future will be if they are assembled by mimicry procedures as advanced as yours in the 4D and 5D property of the nanoscale actuator sensitivity.
