He bragged about how he convinced Erdogan to bring Ertugrul in Pakistan but later said soft power isn't a big deal. Was not expecting that response from him but otherwise superb interview
I think he meant that hiring female models on your foreign visit doesn't exude soft power. He focused more on creating an identity first, like the example he gave for Endia.

He was all about “saving” his own party but doesn’t have any plans how to.. this is going to be disliked comment but this is what I thought.
Well I think he answered the how to's very well for eg about karachi, ensuring his MNA's are not future mir jaffars, or how to counter external influences etc. Also I observed that many questions were 'whys' about political situation, like conflict with army, or his personal feelings about situation. I dont remember this particular question, can you give the timestamp for it?

Agree, IK answers were very lack lustre. Most of the questions were not answered. Junaid et al, asked very good questions that really deserved to be answered but IK gave pre practised scripted answers

17:26 I want to seek same question since I have to make similar decision after 3 years at 27. I came to California at 18. My siblings married in Pakistan but they are still waiting for spouse for last three years as they have green card. That's the biggest CON to marry in Pakistan. It's difficult to marry in US because it's easier to get along with women in Pakistan then in America because they are more independent. It's gonna be a real struggle to convince Pakistani women in California to marry with me especially if I am not financially settled yet as an immigrant. It's absolutely depend on if I want to live in Pakistan or California for the rest of your life. If I marry in California it would become much harder for me to settle in Pakistan later in life. I don't want to have arrange marriage in Pakistan because that's gonna be families bargain deal. The spouse family would seek materialistic benefits from me rather than valuing my personality. I want someone who love me not my green card or blue passport. That's why I prefer to marry in the US specifically California.
I guess the question really is what do you really want? What sort of things are dealbreakers and is the person that you marry fit with what you want out of life? I think the notion that Pakistani women are easier to control is so wrong. You shouldn’t go into a marriage with this type of mentality. Pakistani American/American women want to be treated right and fairly. A Pakistani woman from Pakistan wants the same exact thing. To marry a woman from Pakistan thinking she’ll put up with unjust treatment shouldn’t be the reason why you choose to marry someone from Pakistan. Look for a connection. Don’t look at the country.

people should educate themselves in every walk of life. most of our problems could be solved just by having the proper knowledge. i suggest everyone reading. whatever you are going through first of all educate yourselfe and seek help through books. because when you have enough knowledge you can minimize your mistakes and potential risks. unfortunately we are surrounded by the people who also dont have any experience on their own and dont know how to help you. so make the friendship with books. hope my suggestion could help someone. thanks

Junaid sir I have been listening to your podcasts for a very long time now in fact I have listened to all of Ask gangiswag episodes I want to say that your podcast with IK was so disappointing, you asked really good questions but IK didn't answer properly sometimes he completely pivoted answers, I was so disappointed because followup was completely missing you should at least one time ask a follow up question, he mentioned Ertugral as education for children and you have criticized Ertugral a lot in past it was disappointing that you let him go with that.

For the brother in the United States deciding if he should marry from US or Pakistan: I just wanted to add on that you should also keep in mind while looking for proposals specially from Pakistan that on Green Card with the Visa timelines right now, you are looking at about 3 - 4 or more for the entire process due to COVID. I also married from Pakistan, so me along with a lot of other people are also going through this. If you become a Citizen than it will be much faster off course. Also, this might not matter as even for me if I have to go back and take the decision again, I would marry my now wife because the wait is worth it in my case.
