I saved My own life after a ruptured artery in my leg with a tourniquet was able to access within seconds and was able to call 911... they said i saved my own life
I know you meant that to be funny lol but to be fair, TQ’s were a no-no in casualty care in the infantry when i was in the Corps (enlisted 2004). We were literally told we would lose the limb, which admittedly is better than dying but we were still not allowed to have them or administer them. Sometimes even threatened with a court martial if we used one and the casualty lost the limb 😳😬 Because of this, it took a long time for me to open my mind to having/using one. Now i dont go anywhere without 1 on me and 2+ more in the near vicinity. Guys like Shawn Ryan, Tim Kennedy, Mike Glover, Andy Stumpf, and TRex opened my eyes
I analyzed and mimic'd your grip, Lucas. It was a night & day difference for me, and was surprised at how I had improved. Your video on the indoor range drills was one of the best instruction videos anywhere. Many thanks for your help!
I am 6.5 and weigh 206 pounds. I just recieved my T-rex Sidecar a couple weeks ago for my Roland Special with X300. It is by far the best and most comfortable I have ever concealed in my life. All my friends cannot believe I can conceal a pistol of that size and they never had a clue until I showed them.
@@a10goesbrrrrrrrrrrt52 has always been hard for me due to being very thin. Appendix carry is awesome for us thin guys. The sidecar is just very comfortable. I would imagine a standard Glock 19 or even size would be even more so.
I toggle back and forth between a Sidecar and a Tier 1 Axis Slim. Depending on the shorts or pants I'll pick accordingly. Both holsters are head and shoulders above the rest. I'm 6' 1" and 210, ex-bodybuilder so easily concealed under a bigger chest. 🇺🇸
I make less than 40k a year. I have mask. I have night vision (atn single tube). And I have armor (spiritus systems p.c. and the hesco plates "thanks T-Rex"). It's called budgeting kids I'm a poor, but you can't tell when I'm at the range lol
Glad to find some like minded people's. Poor is a state of mind. Don't get me wrong I know people have basically no ability to save at all. But most of the "just as good"/ "civilians don't need that" crowd has a poor mindset.
About the same here. I was able to put together a 2k$ plus AR in a little over a month, with only minor sacrifices. I also have a wife and son 👍 be smart with your money folks
I came in here not thinking much, but got majorly impressed with “we are going to take a side”. Yeah! I don’t agree with you with everything, but that counts for a lot with me. Subscribed.
For the guy in chat asking P10c or G19, I got a used P10c with an extra mag and the original case for $400. One of the best pistols I've shot and it was a great buy. I love the trigger pull, and even new it's at least $100 cheaper than a glock which you could put toward ammo or training. However, if you want the comfort of tested reliability, modularity, and a slightly smaller frame for a potentially more comfortable carry, then the G19 is probably a better option. You can train through a trigger pull. But it will cost you more. Just weigh your priorities and pick one. I went with the P10c because I couldn't get over the trigger pull, and I just so happened to find one in basically new condition, with night sights, for $400.
Ha, I can't wait until our Master gets here & knocks all of this hate crap off from all of us! 😬 He's pissed off at a lot of these rich, greedy people! 😤
I just want to say that Lucas and TREX arms staff in general are the only people I can actually see myself watching for an extended stream or video of them just talking. I love the message, I love the professionalism and I love Lucas. Keep up the good work fellas.
You guys have become my favorite channel and advocates! It’s amazing what you have done in such a short time! Keep it up with Tennessee, you have a lot of support all over the country
26:50 I’ve learned so much from you Lucas, mostly 9-5 job not much time to hit the range but I constantly watch your videos and take your advice and analyze your movements. When I get home I dry fire practice and reload while my girlfriend watches me, when I get the chance to go to the range everything I learned translates so well for me. From grouping, consistency, push the limits of your own speed, and recoil management. I’m learning from a self taught MASTER! I’ll do anything to get better to protect my home and my family 💪🏽🇺🇸
01100100011101100110111001110100 , definitely good on both. I have a ton of TRex stuff, all good, and they’re pretty hard core right-to-self-defense guys.
I like Lucas, and respect him, he is always honest and up front about his shooting, and tactics. When he does a video!! I'd have to honestly say him and garand thumb work very good together!!
Hey! That sour/green (whichever icr) apple is the best! First two minutes - Properly placing the product up front & center-ish, label toward lense. Go get that sponsorship! & Make it Reign!!! ... more videos, training, political awareness, knowledge, wisdom and Peace.
I love the fact that you guys are so involved with pro 2A matters. That is one of the reasons I am loyal to your channel. Also one of the reasons I will be getting me a sidecar!
RE: Aimpoint or EOTech The one thing I disagree with is leaving my Aimpoint on a high brightness setting (like 10). I’ve never found it necessary to put my Aimpoint on a high brightness setting to compensate for sunlight, bright rooms, etc. The T-2 comes with lens caps (a clear ocular lens cover and solid objective lens cover). I leave these lens covers down and covering the lenses. I shoot with both eyes open. I can leave the brightness setting low (7 max) and see the dot without washing out my target. I can get that legendary Aimpoint battery life. And any threat downrange won’t see my Aimpoint tube light up red because I don’t have it cranked up to 11 with an exposed objective lens.
I’m very glad you guys speak out on things. It’s great to see companies and their “higher ups” speak from their hearts and how they feel on the state of our country.
Nate Stain well that maybe true. You would know better than I would. However my comment still stands. I think it’s great that you guys speak from the heart. It makes me feel more comfortable about spending money at a place that has similar principles that I have. Not sure why but it does.
Haven't heard anything from Lucas before, gotta say, really appreciate the honesty and straightforward attitude. Definitely agree with all the statements regarding the gear. Make a budget, cut out luxuries and gradually invest into quality gear for yourself and your family. Consistently train with that gear and as necessary, upgrade.
im not gonna lie, Lucas is just an ordinary civilian. Im a former infantryman, ive deployed with SF in combat - Lucas really does know wtf hes talking about. Im surprised you didnt actually serve because the amount of knowledge you have is incredible. "its not just about shooting" everything you said is on point. Even when I was in Afghanistan - I would get mad we would conduct ops where we knew contact was not likely and I would get angry about it. Why are we doing an Op that doesnt involve killing the bad guys? Little did I know, these ops were more important than killing bad guys. If it weren't for these ops, we wouldn't have known a village we thought was so friendly - was playing us dumb for months.
I dont have a Instagram account. RU-vid only. Love the content. Firearms and training as well as the 2A patriotism is amazing. Keep up the fight. Coming from Erie,PA here.
Not gonna lie, I appreciate people that are willing to take a stand, have a backbone and share their thoughts on stuff. Super awesome videos and having just barely watched a few, I have a lot to catch up on. Idk how I never ran across these sooner having enjoyed firearms for as long as I have. Thanks for all the content!
Believe me...if you have a Channel that doesn't flow with the prevailing winds and trends, are new and don't have a lot of followers or you're not part of some "community" of like minded believers or experiences, sometimes you're persona non grata. Seen that up close and personal done to one of the YT channel owners that currently has just south of a million subs. On that particular day I almost walked off the range because of the asshole treatment he was receiving from the cadre.
48:00 I’ll add to this as a viewer. If you want to make videos on this subject and don’t have access to a place where you can *legally and safely* do the dynamic/tactical shooting we all love (shooting on the move, different positions from behind cover, low-light, no-light with NODs, tracers, etc. etc.) you’re going to have to work *EXTRA* hard at your content. As a viewer, I don’t want to watch someone talking about things on and on, and then roll in B footage of them shooting from a bench or behind a firing line because they can only shoot at Fudd ranges. I imagine most people are in this position if they live in urban areas. It’s boring to watch and you can bet your ass I’ll click away to watch the newest T.REX ARMS or Garand Thumb upload instead. If that’s what your limited to, find a way to keep people’s attention or bring something new to the table like they said. It’s hard to create content in this position, I know personally. Not all of us can have a range in the backyard, a gravel pit to train in, or a cameraman.
A lot of people say “If you don’t carry any other medical equipment, at least carry a tourniquet”. I’ll argue against that. Quick-clot infused, or even just standard z-folded gauze is more versatile and easier to carry. If the injury is extremity hemorrhage, quick-clot and wound packing, while not as effective as a tourniquet, will help control bleeding. If the injury is junctional, a tourniquet will be useless. Gauze to pack the wound is the only intervention. If the injury is to the chest (sucking chest wound), the packaging may be used as an occlusive dressing. If abdominal, direct pressure can be applied (don’t pack).
With NVG's, they're not cheap, but certain companies do offer payment plans. if you budget right, you can get your badass NVG and build your credit at the same time ;-)
Thank you thank you thank you for these lives. Learning a lot and proud to see people not political neutral as well as teaching real Americans how to be prepared to save society if that time comes. God bless.
One more idea i have had for years. For Lucas's inventive side....an attachment for your rifle (picatinny rail) for hearing protection (i.e. plugs, in ear electronics) that allows to be mounted on the gun for home defense so you can throw it right in upon a home invasion... I have a suppressor now, but alot of people don't. Maybe a plastic little container/holder as simple as can be for foamies....Thanks again.
@@coreyyeroc1284 Buy an Ender 3 3D printer on Amazon. Look up picatinny measurements. Design a box. Print one (or 100 depending on how big it is haha) for yourself for a total of about $300 including the price of the printer. Boom, done. I might do that myself with the printer I have right behind me just because filament is cheap.
i was a s. korea's retired army officer lieutenant colone and now, haksa mot ctfo(llc) , i enjoy just air-piston 6mm rlfle and pistol. ^^ ( air defence atirary unit and infantry division's ccc is experience)
eek, we need some kind of a timeline index for reference, Lucas talks so fast. haha. I am trying to find the section on night vision recommendations again. there is sooo much packed in this talk!
Primary arms makes some great ones. Theres obviously a difference between them and a more expensive ones, but for the average civilian out to 600m they are great.
I would also recommend anyone who is interested in expanding their medical knowledge to either take a Outdoor Emergency Care course OEC of the same course that these guys recommended which is the WOOFER or wilderness first responder class. The OEC class is intense and takes a long time but gives you a Emergency Medical Responder or EMR certification which is the lowest cert for emergency responders being EMR then EMT then Advanced EMT and then Paramedic
New subscriber. Fantastic information delivered in a professional manner for All Skill Levels. On the surface the channel looks like another 'Tacticool' channel - but it's not. It's skilled men sharing knowledge to make Everyone better. Great job. Keep it up. Thank you.
I just subscribed to your channel after watching Garand thumb mention you in his content. I own one AGL20 Russian Ak and one Hk MR556A1 and I appreciate both platforms. May I say T.REX ARMS is one bada▪︎▪︎ channel and all of your team is creating awesome content. I will be SMASHING that like for all your videos. Thank you for all the hard work and the hardware that goes into your videos. ☠💀☠
I'm in Tampa & have a 13yr old daughter so we've on/off had Disney passes for a decade & I have carried QC gauze&CAT every time we've been in any of the parks .. never been questioned once about the kit . I work for our local school board & sheriff's department as a school protection officer & have used your videos many times while at the range .. big fan of T-Rex Arms Sidecar & have used one with my G19 every plain clothes detail I have worked in the past 5yrs
True fact about shortages of tourniquets in hospitals, I work at a two hospitals one smaller and another in a large city and there may be less then ten tourniquets in both buildings, not that they couldn't improvise but any mass casualty would be a mess. That's the reason why I started carrying two tourniquets on my plate carrier at work.
As a Filipino living in the KSA, imagine the restrictions given to a foreigner in regards to guns and weaponry in general. Ever since I shot a real gun during a vacation in the Philippines my daily life now consists of daydreaming about shooting/training every single day. Now, with the current events and most recently last night missiles were intercepted here in Riyadh and during the Covid-19 pandemic people seek an opportunity for their own reasons to use the situation to favor their views. It makes me cripple up with anxiety that I can't own a gun in this country, not just for fulfilling a thirst for the training but in order to protect the people I love. To those who own and can own with the purpose of taking care of their loved owns and innocent people at stake, I put all my trust and faith that your skills be used for the good when the time comes.
When can we see some content on the new chest rig in development? I'm in the market for one and before I pull the trigger on the one I've been researching, I'd like to know if I'm making a huge mistake by not waiting for yours to come out.🙂
I keep hearing about spall but even with ceramic vs. level 3 plus steel buildup, multicurve, are repeated hits at one point not going to kill you on both of them?
I just got your side car. I keep it lower setup. Love it and getting use to it. I have seen many have called you a wannabe. Trust me you do a great job and keep up the good work. Many of your videos help me train and understand getting better. I know you get many comments. And many of us don't get a feed back. But keep showing many helpful videos. Thanks Jeager01
Could you make a video or talk on a livestream about pistol grip, how to find your individual grip and grip tips for beginners and how to check your grip problems and fix them by shooting?
34:17 100% agree with what you lads say. I've never had any issue travelling with my CAT tourniquet locally or internationally(I'm also trained in emergency first aid). I wear it on my upper calf with a special elastic band setup and I've walked through numerous security systems in cities and airports with no issue. Never declared it either, and it doesn't set off any alarms. However, I went to school for a few weeks as part of a mechanic course I was taking, and stupidly wore shorts one day. That day I had 2 teachers and 1 student ask me what I had on my leg- with the words: it's not a knife, is it? Thankfully I was able to give a professional sounding answer about being trained in emergency response techniques, and this is part of my emergency gear. Obviously I didn't tell them about my two knives I was wearing elsewhere on my body. All that to say, most people don't think about being ready to help in an emergency, and thus I encourage everyone to be prepared not only to actively protect, but be able to mop up afterwards.
Agreed on the class stuff. People don’t really need to take classes to learn how to shoot. There’s so much Free content available out there right now. Just watch and learn. Practice. Dry fire. ETC. I’ve only been to a couple of classes myself and it’s been okay. I’ve learned so much more online compared to classes. AMMO > Classes.
I get questioned every time when I enter Disneyland. Because I always have medical equipment ranging from just my ITRK or a full IFAK... they look at my CAT and the pouch and they go... “what is that” and I have to explain. But worth it.
The holosun 509t (enclosed emitter optic) is like $430. It's not sub 300. It's approaching RMR prices, but it's the only one of its kind if you don't count the acro. I preordered one.
Finally got around to watching this. Love how straight forward you guys are. Keep up the good work and looking forward to your opinion of the Syonix Aurora Pro. Heard you guys are getting one or got one for testing and evaluation from Syonix themselves. Love night vision and IR lasers, just really expensive and it's super hard to find someone who will let you try it out.
