Nice show guys, wish you guys didn’t have to be talking about the season being over already….Also the people saying fire DVH are whackos who have no idea what they are talking about. He’s one of the best to do it and I feel like a title is coming for him soon.
There’s nothing wrong with passion, but some fans need to find a better way to channel it. Whether it be punching a couch cushion, screaming into a pillow, or implementing a 24-hour rule on social media. Anything is better than getting yourself irate over something you can’t control. Yes, it can be disappointing (sometimes frustrating), but at the end of the day it’s just a game. The sun will rise again tomorrow.
“The hitting coach for SEMO” isn’t just the hitting coach for SEMO. It’s Trevor Ezell, second team all SEC and SEC all defensive team in 2019 for the Hogs. SEMO was a .260 team with about 50 HR a season. This season, under Ezell, SEMO was a .290 team with over 100 HR. I realize they’re in the OVC, but they put up 18 hits and 15 runs against the SEC West championship last weekend. Also. Nate Thompson came from Missouri State. Ironically, DVH hired him 11 days after Missouri State beat Arkansas in the 2017 regionals.
@@CourtneyMimsSports yall did mention him, but not by name. If you did and I missed it, I apologize. Always a great show, Courtney! I watch every episode!
@@skosh6359 I think we did in a different video and I’m getting things messed up 😅 would be cool if he ended up back here though! Also, thank you! We appreciate you for watching.
My sister graduated with his mom back in the day he comes from good folks I would love to see him here helping the hogs! Btw Courtney is incredible at her job and prettier than anyone at espn or fox , ptn will be lucky to keep her !
Go for fifty...excellent show. Down time show topics?? How about a show of growing up in small town Texas. Did your dad smoke...unfiltered cigarettes? What kind of car did he drive? Did you have a western Auto store in town? Where did you go to buy your baseball glove? Your bike? Did you ever break an arm? Leg? Need stitches? I had heard your football story before but you embellished and expanded on it and made it even better. Just a thought of mine...
Keep doing same thing over and over and getting same result is what DVH has been doing for last 4 years. I predicted a loss in regional due to poor pitching and terrible hitting. That simple. Same hitting coach, no small ball, poor coaching on bases, tons of runners LOB over the whole season, could never manufacture runs when we had to have them, way too many walks. All of which is to say we were clearly never top 5. The first half schedule made us look like we were, but the 2nd half of season showed we were a .500 team which is exactly our record over last half of season.
I question your strategy of starting every show with a known negative listener. It starts me off in a bad mood and makes me think you care more about controversy than you do viewers enjoying your show, which makes no sense.
Our guys tried to hit home runs in every at bat and when they were behind they swung even harder for the fence. In spite of that Arkansas was probably near the bottom of the league in home runs!!
The belt high pitch is suppose to be a strike and was all season but not in the regional. So Hagan was squeezed. A lot of border pitches were called balls as well. After a liberal sec ump we get an old timer. So boom boom hits and walks that simple.
Yea that was probably the hardest thing to watch all season. They basically started every ab with 2 strikes. I don’t know if Wehiwa hit a first or second strike all year & he still ended up with 14 home runs & over 50 RBI’s. Next year if he will start every ab with his 2 strike approach he will cut way down on the strike outs & that rbi number will be ridiculous. He’s got a ton of potential & Im really excited to see how he grows as a hitter. It was definitely a little embarrassing seeing so many guys swing out of their shoes all year & end up with like 6 home runs. I know it’s hard to string hits together against sec pitching & you have to hit home runs but they are going about it the wrong way. I would love to hear Nate Thompson explain why they were taking such long swings. He knows so much more about hitting than any of us but I just can’t imagine how he could possibly explain that.
I think in the beginning of the year the hogs had 3 good starting pitchers. By the end they had only one. One of the three was injured and the other lost the strike zone. They never were a good hitting team, and so when they lost their pitching, it was hard to win. I think the Hagen Smith 6-run inning against Kansas State was just a fluke. If Arkansas had won that game, they would have won the regional. I think DVH took them as far as they could go. They just ran out of pitching.
