I am Amazed Ligonier Pennsylvania is ten minutes away from me and I JUST heard of RC two years ago. I'm 55YO. Thank you Lord for showing me your servant. I couldn't be more grateful.
Praying thanksgiving for the wise and exemplary RC on the 3rd anniversary of his going to Glory. We miss him so much but we are so blessed that he left us a great treasure of teaching and explanations of the true Gospel. 🙏
I am really agree 100% that’s we have to live according to the word of God not according to the experienced, we can’t trust our feelings and experience.
Lee Webb has so much talent a warm and wonderful personality I was so happy when he left the false teaching and heresy of of Pat Robertson and CNN. He would never say such a thing and maybe wrong for anyone to in the faith to say it, but when you are born again in the spirit I don’t see how it is possible given enough time you must finally address the correct soteriology and see the truth “The Doctrines of Grace” as Lee has done inspite of working so many years under heresy. What a blessing for Lee and Ligonier.
I believe God absolutely allowed the witch to call up Samuel. The prophesy that Samuel gave to Saul was no parlor trick. Nor could a demon have prophesied the future fate that God had for Saul.
Why is it never "debate RC"? The Basics:. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (NOW!) and thou shalt be saved." Rejecters will not be. Why wouldn't the myriads of similar verses not say "those chosen to believe at creation will be saved"? Because it would be an accursed predestined different gospel! Those that do believe are predestined to be conformed to Christ's image. Believe and trust the Bible, not men! Let God be true and every man a liar!
In answer to the question #18, I am surprised that R. C. Sproul did not mention the Waldenses and the Albigenses who were "solo scriptura" in their beliefs long before the Reformation (but both groups were pretty much executed by the Catholic Inquisition). Christopher Pinto, the Christian filmmaker, was the first one to make me aware of those groups and I have seen several other references to them in other places.
... I would have really liked to know about his comments about his books, the method, process and technique he used to write them. What and who influenced him as a child and teenager and later in his life to become a theologian? ... And also to know his opinion about contemporary theology and old and new theologians.
In the Hebrew calendar every few years there is an equivalent to the leap year, there is a second Sabbath that takes place during the Passover. Christ was most likely resurrected on this second Sabbath, not on the first day of the week.
The English is very fast. Need sub title so that we can takes notes. I can understand and follow but what about other countries whose English is not that good.
Sarah Ward. Why can't we just accept the words of Jesus Christ. and be satisfied. . .That is what I do. .,trusting in God's Word and most important the work of Jesus Christ at the Cross of Calvary. This is what I believe and what I joyfully believe. In without a Shadow of doubt.!
Concerning minute 1:11:30, How many days was Jesus in the tomb, three or two? It’s a privilege to have an opportunity to correct R.C. Sproul’s; especially when discerning between what Jesus said about how many days he’d be in the grave, versus what the doctrine of men preconceive against “As Jonas was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth”. Jesus did not say, According to Jewish day tradition, shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. And Jesus did not say, According to Christion belief, Jonas was spewed out of the mouth of the whale Sunday morning. Just as nowhere from the inspired word of God says, Jesus resurrected on a Sunday! The reading of one's own ideas into scripture is exegesis, just as adding words to the scripture come with a curse; while according to the KJV the word [day] was indeed added to the verse. And that Sunday curse makes Christ Jesus a liar.
People in the Dark hate when the truth is spoken to them. I can agree that when living in unrighteousness living one becomes in denial of the truth because of the unrighteous living causing fear, anger, ignorance in the person. And all though they know God is real deep within their being they will continue to deny the faith until they are saved by the Holy Holy Holy Spirit of God.
William Son. Good point. R.C. tends to go for easy non-supernatural answers. I think it is a shame that Christians would put so much attention on one scholar's opinions, when we must each answer to God for ourselves. It reminds me of Muslim's and their dependence on their scholars for all definitive answers.
HOW COULD IT BE A TRICK, DEMONS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS AND KNOW EVERY TRICK THAT IS HOW, AND THEY CAN KILL YOU AND ANYONE ELSE UNLESS GOD STOPS THEM LIKE HE STOPPED SATAN FROM KILLING JOB BUT NOT FROM KILLING HIS CHILDREN AND ANIMALS ETC. KEEP READING BIBLE
@@KeithThompson52 RC said that we cannot know for certain. Then he gave his personal opinion of what is most likely. So lighten up. We're all allowed to have our own opinions regarding passages of Scripture that are left uncertain!
I guess RC never studied the story about the grafting in of the branches on the tree. that one story, plus others, answers all questions about predestination, adoption, election, election by grace and blotting out of each from the kingdom.
@@janmarsar I never got a chance to ask him if the wages of sin is death or only 3 days of death. Because According to the whole bible, the debt for my sin is death. So if Jesus died for my sins and paid my debt, then he should still be dead. Given that he is alive Accordingto the catholicand protestantchurch, my sins have not been paid for. If my debt is only 3 days of death, then I could pay the debt myself. Huuuummmm..
@@janmarsar LOL. We conquer death when we are born again dear. What bible are you reading? What do you think becoming a new creation means? You clearly do not understand the NT.
RC knew we are not living in the end times. There are too many time texts people conveniently ignore. Jesus returned in AD70 in judgment to close and fulfill the Old Covenant. I am a full preterist and believe RC had this wrong. Unfortunately he is not here to challenge a debate with a full preterist but there are several out there if a search is made.
Summa Arrogantia. Remember Sproul believes and teaches obtaining the new covenant by infant baptism. Sproul does not believe in the promise of the Holy Spirit gifts today. Further, the and Johnny Mac believe that when the preach they are prophesying. Making them pastors, teachers, prophets and arrogant beyond belief. Matthew 23:13

Hi, I have two questions, I'll cut to the chase, what would of happened if Adam & Eve didn't part take of the fruit of good and evil? Also if all sin is the same in God's eyes then why will sexual sins will keep a soul entering the Kingdom of heaven and not gluttony?
Number one - we likely wouldn't exist as humans like we know them, but something more like angels. But this was God's plan for us, that we would be allowed to know evil and have a choice - hard for us to understand, but that's essentially it. As for sin, not all sin is the same in God's eyes, but in principle, a determined and unrepentant glutton will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven just like a chronic drunk, or practising homosexual/adulterer/fornicator.
@Dd S You really are the perfect example of a troll. Keep squatting under a bridge, living in the darkness - throwing insults at people happier and healthier than yourself. I pray you can find your way out from under the bridge some day, truly.
@Dd SIsn't this a Christian video? Aren't people watching it Christian? What is your purpose commenting here? Deflecting doesn't contradict my comment - you are a troll, a malignant figure lurking to insult and belittle people for their faith.
Clearly, if we had not fallen, everything we know about now would not exist. I cannot guess as to what such a world and life would have been. I do not have a full knowledge of why, but in the whole schema, it is clear that all that has and will happen has always been the perfect plan of God, through Jesus. The fall, the presence of evil, the death and resurrection of Jesus all has the mark of a well defined plan. Gluttony, as far as I know is not specifically named, but does get included in coveting, greed, and several other manner of things like that. All sin is equal in the result; Death. Be it murder or a white lie, it all is against the nature of God. Sexual sin holds such a prominence in or mind, and in social mind because sexuality is a personal thing, no one escapes this one. Our designer, God gave us sex, and he gave us a way to fully enjoy sex in such a way that it would not soil us. And per the manufacturers recommendations for optimal benefit and use it follows this; one man, one woman under the umbrella of marriage. Sex when indulged in in any other manner always has a very bad habit of causing many more troubles that last always longer than the moments of pleasure that can be gained from it, no matter how sweet that pleasure was. The best sex it's always in a marriage arena. In today's arena, we have one other area odd sex and sexuality that is put on us. It's laid out as something that's as natural as all the rest, and to speak against it in today's social climate can bring lots of condemnation and hsrassment from that. And that is homosexuality. It's spoken of very clearly several times. It's disdain from God in its practice is strong, the biggest example it's the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. If you are saved and you believe God and his word, this truth is axiomatic. In spite of how much it is frowned upon in today's social climate. The other part of why sexuality is so prevalent is because once you fall into a particular habit in sex, it's very very very difficult to come out of that easily. It is possible to come out of such, but it is almost universally difficult.
My ?...why was Joseph & Mary so shocked to find Jesus in the Temple...as a young boy...An angel had come to both of them and especially( Mary KNOWING she had not been with a man )and yet was pregnant ????? angel told her she would have a son and call his name Jesus and He would save his people from their sins? and they even left their home to keep Herod from killing Jesus ?????...makes no sense unless God had hidden this from them later?????
Most likely, Joseph and Mary being regular human parents, and very traditionally Jewish as their heritage and religion, had most likely considered his coming of age at the usual time when he would become a formal Rabbi, or whatever they expected in that realm. Mary did believe that which she was told, as exampled in the first miracle of Jesus. What either parent likely did not think of was the already present divine side of Jesus, that was always there from birth. To find their son at twelve years old, interacting with the Rabbis with such authority and knowledge, that was not the usual. Also you have to consider the absolute great and dread they were feeling, discovering he was missing, and in that time frame getting lost from a traveling group dis not end well often. So you have the high emotion of the parents, his gone missing, and then finding him in the temple right alongside the Rabbis and the other religious rank and file which was not the usual. Hopefully this helps some fire that question
