Swamiji has given a loooong reply 🙂. I love him, but this wasn't his most satisfying answer. God and Pure Consciousness are two sides of the same coin. If you love God, you love consciousness. As long as you're "centered" in the body, love can only be directed at God (ie with form). But as you progress in your spiritual practice, the mind "thins out" ie you acquire a state of "tanumanasi", and the locus of your centeredness moves "out" of your own body, so that you see other bodies also as more spirit than body. But the feeling of body-centered love preserves and transforms slowly into a subtle joy, until a breakthrough occurs and your mind/thinking ceases completely, even for just a moment, it's a moment of wonderment, an "aha, wow!" moment. THAT'S when you start "loving" consciousness because it's a direct EXPERIENCE of consciousness itself, rather than of the objects in consciousness that we "love," in the ordinary sense of the word. Just my $0.02 ;-)

With all due respect, it is a bit stumbling and beating around the bush. That is why so many Indologists can't grasp Gita! They find it either about love, or work, or understanding. Notice how we lose it trying to comprehend it. (But Gita is not about the above or, rather, it is about all three at once*) It is amazing how Ramakrishna talked and talked about love and the rest and the advaitins still discuss the thakur's legacy, as if God got something to do with Dickens' Old Curiousity Shop of the people's "collective uncoscious". We all travel on the train looking out of the window, passing landscapes and stations of our lives and see a bright board saying "god". There is a clock on the façade measuring time before one dies ---- That, by the way, explains why so devastatingly few achieve the enlightment: we are comfortably numb and drowsy on the train, whereas all it takes is to jump off a sleeping car and see what it means to be with God. Why don't we, Ramakrishna did, and Ramana, and the rest? (*Well, Gita is about Gita --- like an immense diamond it shines to all and his uncle, just so many facets of a huge gem! Gita, oh wonder, is about you and me, about each and every, be it mahatma Gandhi or a porter at the train station.)

If it is the cast that for an enlightenment being there is no sense of false self and it is effortless does it not mean that for all the other beings like us all effort is a waste? Either you are enlightened or your are not, because every thing else in the middle is just feelings, thoughts, hope and mental constructs. Why go towards enlightenment and why not just wait for the shift in perspective to happen on its own? If is does not by time we die maybe we just are not fortunate enough to experience it

What kind of exercise do you do? I do weight training/lifting and can't imagine being able to focus on his words with the attention they deserve. However for walking/cardio sessions it is perfection.

A decent home in big Indian cities cost more than this amount. India has one of the largest numbers of ancient manuscripts and books in the world. Yet they are being neglected and are getting rotten. Indians spend billions for worships in a few popular temples. Yet, we totally ignore the preservation and study of manuscripts and books, which is the real foundation of Sanatana Dharma / Hindu religion and culture. Nirvana through Advaita is the Mirage monks have been selling. Very few achieve it, leading to a sense of unfullfilment among most followers. In contrast, the paths of Bhakti and Karma give immediate sense of engagement and fullfillment to most practitioners.

But suddenly today one question is bothering me alot. That how this parkriti is so perfect and interconnected, that we got sunlight, water and all the foods and fruits from it. That plant inhales co2 and exhale oxygen. This seems so systematically. In Advaita Vedanta we say “Brahma satyam jagat mithya”. So please help me with this.
Let's say you are sleeping in a pitch dark room. Absolutely no light and then you have a wonderful dream. You are outside in the nature and it is a beautiful clear sky and the Sun is blazing through all it's glory and you are soaking in that sun light. Then suddenly you wake up in that pitch dark room. Now where did that gigantic sun and blazing sunlight emerge from? It did not, it was just an imagination of your mind.
I agree what you said but my point is that what we imagined in our dream isn’t that related to our waking state! We cannot see in dreams that which has not been seen or known in the waking state.
@@rashmichhetri8399 not necessary, you may be chased by a ghost never seen in a waking state. A zen monk once dreamt that he was butterfly in his dream. On waking up he inquired, am I a butterfly dreaming that I am human or a human dreaming I am butterfly. Gaudapada in Mandukya karika treats both waking and dream as just dream. There is nothing physical at all. Tell me which came first the seed or the tree. You cannot, it goes in infinite regress. This is hallmark of an appearance. All cause and effect go into infinite regression and that is why cause and effect are not real.

In order to wear another shirt you have to remove the shirt you are wearing, be without a shirt for a moment and wear another shirt. Similarly when you go from waking to dream you undress your waking body and in sleep you have no experience of body or the world, then you take up another body (dream body) to experience dream world. If there were really a world you should experience it all the time. Since you do not experience world nor your body in deep sleep it means the body is correlated to your mind. Mind active body and world spring up, mind not active body and world vanish. But you the pure awareness is always there.

In reality there is just isness just existence....so why is things happening why is Swami swarvaprinanda why is Romi and what is knowledge is knowledge also maya? But how can knowledge be maya if it's awakening us? I feel like I am jumping in different dimensions. Knowledge implies knower (subject)and knowledge about (object). In deep sleep there’s no knowledge cos the knower (subject- body mind faculty ) is not there and hence no knowledge about (object) is perceived. Considering dream state There’s a knower ( subject) and there’s knowledge about (object). But isn’t it interesting to note that the knower (subject) and the known ( object) is one phenomenon. When the knower is not there the known is also not there. Keep the flame of your quest burning. Accept only that which resonates with your own realisation. 🙏

Its a wonderful consciousness to appreciate God as Ananda. I can then find myself loving Love,for God is Love, plus ... Sat Chit Ananda shows me the different ways I can worship God.
