Toyota Hilux Surf 1994 IKZ-TE 340,000 kms. Intermittent hesitation of three consecutive events (or hesitations close together) during driving. Firstly 3 times only. Engine been going two minutes only and up hill. Minor hesitations only. Each a week apart. Length of time only milliseconds. Speed 40 kph. More accelerator solved this. Secondly on flat at 60 kph three weeks since last incident. One only event of three hesitations milliseconds apart Slightly longer/stronger hesitations this time. Again acceleration solved this. So 4 incidents in 5 weeks. Worried as have long trip with loaded car trailer to avoid Covid. Combined Hilux and trailer Total weight 4 tonne approx Never done the injectors or glow plugs but had them tested and OK Please your thoughts welcomed

North America Dealers will void a warranty if you tap a wire, Don't know what would happen with a catch can or a intercooler. Just got a 2020 so we will see...

Sounds like he was trying to sell you something you don't need. Back to basics, compressing air increases it's temperature. Turbo's compress air. Air Temp goes up. Engines like cool air, it is more dense bla bla bla. So an intercooler is like a radiator for air, it cools it down. That is it. If you drive your Toyota on a cold early morning, you may feel it pulling really well. It is loving that cold air. All an intercooler is doing is trying to replicate a cold morning. Nothing high tech.
Hey just a question i got . I have a 2010 dmax 3l turbo deisel dual cab is there anyway i could change the location of the fuel filter from the passenger to under the bonnet and where its located it keeps bumping the wire connector undernearth it . Any help in this situation would be awesome its in a stupid spot .

Performance chip. 3. Exhaust system. Size ? Been advised not to go too large as it will reduce pressure for turbo. 4. What other upgrades would you recommend in order of urgency. .
Whats the issue with a 1hz engine having a ratle or a overhead knock after revving high probably over 4000 rpm.... and when the engine is hot it cant start??

I write this review with a warning to people looking to book Berrima Diesel...DO NOT! You will have your money taken with their claim of expertise and be very disappointed with the outcome. You will then raise your concerns and be gaslit. I will be branded disgruntled etc but somebody needs to hold these 'experts' to account.
Hi, ive got a Toyota Coaster mini bus, turbo diesel. The intercooler has got lots of oil ish gunk all over it- where is the oil possibly coming from plz??
Check the short rubber hoses that connect all the air inlet system. Normally about 3 inches in diameter and check the breather hose from the rocker box that goes to the inlet just after the air filter. That will be a much smaller hose. Come back to me when you're done.
